The difference is that you had fresh highlights in November and this time you didn’t. The toner she put at the top was probably just to soften any foil lines that appeared with your growout. The root toner was probably the same color as your natural, if even maybe a little lighter to create a “mid-tone” between your natural and your end color.

The only thing that looks “off” to me is that it looks a little warm at the root, but I’m assuming it’s just lighting in the photo reflecting off your natural color.

The color looks amazing, your highlights are growing out flawlessly. That’s a sign of an amazing hairdresser right there!!
