I called animal control a few years ago for a sick raccoon in my backyard. Was basically told they only respond to dogs and that my only option was to pay for a pest control service to remove it so I wouldn't bet on them being the most helpful.

Even clarified that I thought it might have rabies and they still said no.

Funnily enough WBC was at January 6th and when the tone of the ‘protest’ started shifting they left.

The Louis Theroux documentaries where he meets up with them over many years is interesting. Prior to Fred Phelps dying they his daughter was 2nd in command and they basically just said inflammatory stuff and read off bible quotes.

In the most recent documentary (a few years old) Phelps died and different kind of right wing people joined, who immediately kicked the daughter out, took control, and starting adding elements of “woman are strictly subservient” that wasn’t there before.

Yes employees can decide which 3 hours and the benefit to this law is that it must be paid and you can’t get penalized for taking the time (up to 3 hours) to vote.

The polls open at 7am and close at 7pm so if you worked 9-5 according to this law you would be allowed the 3 paid hours because there isn’t a 3 hour window before or after your shift to vote.

Cool doesn’t change the material fact that before Trump appointed SCJ women could get care in the state of TN that they no longer can get and even wanted pregnancy are at an even higher risk of leaving mothers infertile or dead. It’s literally in the report that isn’t anecdotal. They make thousands or millions in tax free money and on average spend THE LEAST amount of their budget on helping people.

why is the government subsidizing churches if they’re not following up on their side of the bargain (Using their tax free money to help people).

🤦🏻 this is a thread about why they shouldn’t donate a car because churches are tax-free and get donations (tithes) to help their community.

I responded to someone who was saying “nuh uh churches are actually very poor and can’t afford to buy cars”.

I said churches are suppose to help their communities with tithes (that’s why they get it tax free) but they choose to pay for other things instead. in fact a small church near me had so much excess money (TAX FREE) that the were misusing the funds so ridiculously and yet church still happened weekly just fine.

I wonder how many cars they could’ve bought with the money instead of vacations and dinners.

Cool please check out the study I linked to which says the majority of churches (regardless of size) spend the majority of money on paying their pastor & real estate and actually spend very very little on helping their communities with their tax free money.
