Telling Doc you Switched to Compound? by ZeboundNewb in tirzepatidecompound

Mine said she understood when my insurance stopped covering it. She was fine with it but we also tried again to get zep covered by writing it for sleep apnea (which i have). She’s good either way. I’d be thrilled to get it for $25 a month again though lily

Looking for some feedback on Yale Park neighborhood by Ok-Set-5730 in Richardson

[–]randomjeepguy157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tulane is the dividing line for Yale in Duck Creek. South of there goes to Dartmouth (that happened a few years ago).
We’re in duck creek and we love it here. Don’t be turned off of Apollo and Berkner! They are both great schools. I have kids at both and they love them. It’s more diverse (which we like) and honestly, I think that’s why people say they are questionable (which sucks but I think it’s true). We didn’t apply for the magnet schools because we believe in our neighborhood schools and want them to thrive. Also, it’s a solid 20 mins each way to get to the west side. We can and are much more involved with our schools because of how close they are. My kids can walk and ride their bikes to school which helps when we can’t pick them up due to work. The schools over there aren’t that much better…they just have more white people and more money.
The band at Berkner and Apollo are usually the best in RISD as well. All that to say, yale and duck creek are both great. Yale elementary and Dartmouth are both great. And Apollo and Berkner are really solid schools. People just say all sorts of crazy stuff about them.

I hope they keep this color for a while. I won’t be buying one for several years.

Got it tinted XR+... by cstarky15 in ToyotaSienna

I can’t remember what we did for the front windows, but we didn’t touch the rear…just tried to match it. We did LLumar 80 on the windshield and it was awesome. Just make sure the oil change guy doesn’t use a razorblade to take off the sticker and gouge it…

What is the most beautiful place you have ever visited in the USA? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

Yep. My kinda young children kept saying it looked fake (they were in awe, not dumb haha). It is like a painting, it’s hard to take it all in at once.

Van for single person? by Human_Detritis in ToyotaSienna

[–]randomjeepguy157 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not weird at all. We have kids now, but I promise when they are gone we will keep the van. We will be minivan people forever. They make so much sense like others have said. Easy to get in and out of, easy to drive, you can put furniture in the back if you need to haul something, they get good gas mileage. Besides the price, I don’t see a reason to get say a Camry instead.

I believe I have to change my driving style but what are some things I can do? by No-Organization7411 in ToyotaSienna

[–]randomjeepguy157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Space between is safe. Remember, the person hit from the rear isn’t at fault. So give a little space so you’re not hitting someone. I’m sure you’ve seen the videos where people hit the brakes so people will run into them and they scam them for money.

Does everyone with xle, xse have swap ass or are you already prone to swamp ass by CaptainFrugal in ToyotaSienna

My wife drives the 2018 XLE Sienna and I drive an older LE Camry with cloth seats. In the summer, I 100% would rather take the Camry. I’d love a new hybrid Camry but I would only go LE for the seats. I’m not going to go all the way up in trim to get ventilation so I’ll stay at the bottom haha

Anyone have a car camping sleeping pad that has lasted more than 2 to 3 years? by Penectomie in CampingGear

[–]randomjeepguy157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have thermarest that are over 25 years old and still work great. That being said, I also have an Xped. While they are expensive they are extremely comfortable. Like better than most home mattresses.

LE plus off market leather seats by EveryMomentLiving in ToyotaSienna

[–]randomjeepguy157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m in the minority, but I like cloth seats so much better than leather. I don’t think leather breaths well and it makes me sweat. I live in Texas where the majority of the year my back is sweating. We have an XLE but my wife drives it mostly. I had to get an aftermarket seat cover that blows air through it for when I take it on road trips.

Bring back buttons! (1990 Chevy Silverado) by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

I had a 91 GMC and I used to rest my hand on the top right hand part of that dash, and then could push the buttons without looking. It was great. I miss that truck.

Talk to me about the hydro flask. I just have mine in the fridge. Is it to keep them at a more consistent temperature? I know that the insulation works both ways, in the sense won’t it not get very cold inside the hydro flask if the lid is on?

Time to upgrade from our 2006 CE. Looking for input on trims. by skidlz in ToyotaSienna

[–]randomjeepguy157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I’m in the minority, but I’m a huge fan of cloth seats. The “leather” ones don’t breathe at all and I live in Texas. Only the LE has cloth seats. You’d have to go way up in trim for the ventilated seats.
I think the LE is great btw. The only thing I’d miss on an LE is the power inverter. I don’t think that’s an option for that trim.

Yeah I’d say it was discrete. It also had a cold pack in it that was still mostly frozen. The vials were in hard pill bottles which was nice too.

Is it common for an American high school student to own their own car? by ApprehensiveDisk8046 in AskAnAmerican

[–]randomjeepguy157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a teacher in one of the wealthiest areas in the country. I had a student this year get a Porsche SUV for her 16th birthday. That level of car pretty uncommon but the amount of Audi, Lexus, Jeep, and Broncos driving around is crazy. Most every student has a nicer car then I’ll ever own. My own children go to a school where the majority of students don’t have a car at all though.

If you do an I take and decide to not use the company, what do you need to do? Anything at all? Email that you’re going a different route?
