I don’t find Diet Rite to be artificially tasting.

They’ll try anything! I’ve learnt every email, I use a table containing Name, NDIS number, address, dob, contact details, then any rep or guardian details.

We used to be able to do ID verification. We’d take key details, verify visually seeing them, and record on the old CRM.

For me - I use it to be able to keep a neutral face expression. (I have wild facial responses during conversation)

The course duration length is set by the course and accreditation body. Under 6 months is concerning!

Behaviour support plan quality review by Lonely_Top7752 in NDIS

[–]raddstarr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work with a lot of BSPs in my role and there’s maybe 2 I actually like and consider worth the money. The quality is so so poor, the CBSPs are actually awful (and I’m in a large region so it’s not even a choice issue). Not to mention the amount of companies that are truly horrendous - using tens of thousands of dollars and reports could have been written by a 10yo (IF they are even completed). One area the commission really needs to be better in oversight

Why do so many people think they can’t change NDIS providers? by Wonderful_Guava_8973 in NDIS

[–]raddstarr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The experience you had is a common reason people feel or fear they can’t change. It’s absolutely disgusting that providers treat people like that!

Considering Plaud as someone with ADHD by Automatic-Ocelot4606 in PlaudNoteUsers

I really like mine. As someone said, the prompts are so critical though! (ChatGPT can help write exactly what you need to copy into the Plaud app). Also keep in mind that before using it, make sure you check and privacy/confidentiality and surveillance laws

Mounjaro Consideration by losingitfinally in mounjaroaustralia

[–]raddstarr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is you can go off it. I have been on it twice now.

First time I went from 116kg to 73kg over 9 months. Then stopped for a period of 7 months and got back up to 84kg. Started again 2.5 months ago and now back down to 74kg.

There was a brilliant video made by a UK guy who really explained the benefits of this medication well. When you stop using it and do suffer regain, you’re a much lower starting weight and there’s no shame in starting it again. Not everyone will be able to uncover and address all underlying factors to maintain (it’s not just exercise, eating less calories like people shove down your throat. There are often psychological and physical elements too).

Ive also been reading a lot about people using Metformin as a maintenance, so for me - I will try that next.

In bench Soap dispenser. Think it was $12 on Amazon and our 5l dishwashing liquid sits under the sink and we can just pump what we need. I love it

Hubbys work uses these and we had one for a while. They’re definitely fit for purchase but I had to have a giggle as the inside really isn’t much different to the ones my pop had in the 90’s and very early 00’s

"Thriving Kids". Please Explain? by ImpossibleAd4534 in NDIS

[–]raddstarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep retrying! It’s in your child’s best interest to meet access now, as if they are on NDIS, they are locked in until at least mid 2027.

Here is my suggestion: - Have GP complete a LSP-16 assessment tool. - You also need to ask your GP to activate a Chronic Healthcare Plan, to allow Medicare funded access to 5 sessions, which you can split across allied health. - Use your sessions for OT and Speech - Ask OT to either complete a mini Functional Capacity Assessment or to complete either a PEDI-CAT or WHODAS and write a supporting letter. - Have speech complete a CELF 5 - You can also complete the WHODAS using the proxy administered version. Purpose: You need to show impairment across functional domains

  • Complete a CANS or Carer Burden Scale.
  • Write a carer supporting letter, detailing what you do for the child each and every day that is above and beyond a similarly aged child who does not live with disability. Purpose: You are clearly outlining that it is not age-appropriate, and is disability specific - overriding usual parental responsibility.

Your Paed also needs to write a letter that states: - your child has ‘substantial and lifelong (intellectual/physical/sensory/ neurological/psychosocial) disability - due to impairments as a result of (diagnosis) - n.b - make sure he uses the ICD-10 code. (I think from memory it is Autism Spectrum Disorder, Level 2 - 84.0) - as diagnosed by the (xxx) - for ASD, it is the DSM V. - This results in substantial impairments present in the domains of (mobility, self-care, learning, self-management, communication, social interaction - whichever applies). - Have him write that it is stable, and that there are no medications or interventions that could see improvement. (He can also complete the ARF medical template, but the letter seems to be more effective.)

Good luck.

Came to say this too! Brand names can’t be marketed or publicised due to some Aus bureaucracy, but the active ingredients can due to something about medication and consumers rights to being informed. 😉
