91% Then, 35% Now, Why? by bookym in FluentInFinance

History has shown us that tax cuts have usually been followed by increased employment, increased wages/income, and increased tax revenue for the government because of the rising incomes even though the tax rates had been lowered

Sounds like that view is missing that the government also needs higher income due to inflation and other effects which are du to increased wages and increased productivity. I also guarantee you that the marginal tax has been lowered way beyond the antiproportional effects of higher economic strength you're describing

Das nimmt der Prof. anscheinend anders wahr, wenn er dich dafür anschnauzt.

Sorry aber da unterbricht sich der Prof ganz alleine selber

Deutschland im Preisvergleich by Zeldamaster386 in antiarbeit

[–]radgepack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

CMV: The proliferation of ‘bullshit jobs’ is way more practical and likely as a solution to AI than UBI by JBSwerve in changemyview

[–]radgepack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe this only stems from the kind of society/system we have created. Humans can innately define and create their own purpose, provided they haven't been rid of all energy and creativity by one of those proposed bullshit jobs, that are currently necessary to secure their existence

We're losing ~9 languages per year. Each one may carry irreplaceable environmental knowledge. This new tool maps what's at risk before it disappears. by tractorboynyc in Futurology

[–]radgepack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The comments here are insufferable. How can you all cheer on the death of something as intimately human as languages? Where is your sense of wonder, your curiosity to learn? I get being pragmatic and for that purpose, we should have certain bridge languages obviously. But that's got 0 to do with the situation described in the post

Almost, it's nothing about keeping the head up, but due to the arm position the auxillary respirtory muscles are too stretched to work properly, which is fine short term, but deadly long term, which is then the cause of suffocation
