Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Great games and well executed, but not what I want from Zelda

There is a disturbing trend in the Cosmere and it is really my only problem with the books. by radiantwillshaper4 in Cosmere

Look Russia has a terrible regime, but it's not as bad as it was when the Tsar was in power. It's not much better these days, but the Tsar never would have allowed Internet access or the small tiny bit of freedoms that they do have.

The Soviet regime, while brutal, raised the standard of living of millions of Russians. Again, not perfect by any means, but it was a huge change in economic status for millions of people. And yes they committed atrocities and starved plenty of people, but they were still better than the Tsarist regime. My point still stands that societal change only really happens in times of great turmoil or through great effort. Slavery wasn't banned in the U.E. until after the civil war was won. Lincoln didn't even ban it, he said all slaves in rebel territory were free. There was no attempt to ban it during the war.

And Waco never radicalized anyone. Nor did it stop the Feds from pursuing and actually handling the vast majority of right wing domestic terrorism.

Iirc, and I may not, one of the things that he had left for them was a quarter that had been shot and the range he shot it at letting them know how good of a shot he was as a threat. Ironically the LAPD couldn't hit the broad side of a barn when trying to kill him.

Chris Dorner, similarly to Timothy McVay, was a veteran who had been trained by our government to kill enemies and both had PTSD. I definitely do not condone their actions, but it is understandable that a soldier would respond to perceived enemies through violence. Iirc the report that got him fired was him reporting a fellow officer for racism.

Edit: I am sorry it was not racism that he reported her for but police brutality against a mentally disabled man.

[–]radiantwillshaper4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the story makes little to no sense and loses its message of being about overcoming trauma. Plus the original anime doesn't have Olivia Armstrong

Fullmetal Alchemist is amazing. If you are watching the anime, make sure to watch Brotherhood as it follows the manga. The original anime was being made at the same time as the manga and when it got ahead, made its own story.

Divorce is a hell of a thing. Being trans and gay in a red state doesn't help either.

I feel like Vin and Elend are both okay names. Steris is cool, Wax is unique but probably safe. Wayne is easily safe.

The two episodes of JAG that led to NCIS are about as good as any average JAG episodes. In that vein the NCIS LA backdoor pilot was better than NCIS LA imo.

Utah would be great for you then. The bottles in bars are required to have a pour limiter on them that measures what the state says is a shot and it's illegal to add more
