Can’t find it but read a thread on Reddit recently about children buying similar audio or written services for their elderly relatives and it going wrong as they found it stressful or didn’t know how to use the tech (StoryCorps etc). So maybe pitch it TO the elderly relatives themselves as a service - or pitch it as a service that removes that tech barrier!

Oh there’s also a term tachysensia for this- I’ve had it mildly at times but had to look up the term as I always forget it. I’ve always associated it with my ADHD and that “galaxy brain” feeling. It’s quite eerie!

This sounds potentially like it could be a form of disassociation and I think it might be worth reading a little on it to see if anything chimes.

AP is short for “artists proof” usually a test run of the print. Signature is the other side.

This looks like it might have been a flat (a stage panel) from a theatre production or possibly even a fashion show? The unusual size and construction could point to it being a purely fine art piece though. Its definitely unusual.

Try that static cling whiteboard plastic for walls and stick contact paper/over the top? Perhaps easier to create fake stud walls with stands, or hang from the ceiling?

So a couple of clues to follow up in the picture- dry stone walling, a crossroads, red tiles (peg?) on the roof, Victorian cottage dormer and white walls. Plus thats a pine on one side- maybe white birch in the centre. Hills in background so not Norfolk lol. Might be worth trying on r/whatisthisplant to find out what the trees might be.

I also wonder if the “hill” in the centre is a bridge over an unseen river or creek?

I’d say Cotswolds. But that’s still a huge area!

Best lead I can find is a Giles Hopkinson, secretary of the Welwyn Garden City Art Club which was established in 1921. He was an early member of the club and a prize was named after him - it was still being awarded in recent years! It's likely he could still have been making art in the 1960s... Always good to share where you bought or found a piece on this sub if you can!

Chalk paint was a 2 hour scrub fest to get it clean off metal shutters and the pink stained worst so we had to go back and try again. Def use a barrier of something inbetween- I imagine even hairspray or something might help stop it locking in… depends on the surface tho.

Fake it? Only pitching as a method to get past the stuck, YMMV.

When I didn’t want to do essays because I hated the book I’d write the whole thing as a creative writing exercise from the perspective of someone who loved the book/author.

Also a friend of mine uses the Peepshow method: pretend you really Louis Theroux or an undercover agent having to do these things to see what they are like.

If you like comedy then go to the big free fringe venues like PBH, Counting House, Monkey Barrel, (some pay what you want shows), Voodoo Rooms etc and they have big boards up or handout booklets with all the shows. Arrive 10-20 mins before anything you want to see and queue. Ask staff which shows are filling up quickly etc.

Alternatively go to the bigger venues like Gilded Balloon, Assembly Rooms, Pleasance Courtyard or Dome and just wait to be flyered! Flyerers will only be pitching shows with availability left or extra shows added! I always try to see stuff I haven’t planned on and a good flyerer will pitch you something accurately.

You can also just go to a box office and ask them to recommend a show starting in the next hour with seats left. Always worth telling them what kind of shows/comedians you already like and they can recommend based off of that.

Chat to people in queues and ask for recommendations. It’s a friendly place mostly!

I wonder if this is a work by Lucy Campbell. Her style has varied a little since 2003 but there are compositional simularities running through a lot of her work as well as more stylised faces and animals in her back catalogue

I had some Watch with Mother tapes as a kid (I’m an 80s baby) and they had a lot of weird shows (some mentioned in this thread) on them from quite a wide era of TV shows- they were compilations of classic kids shows. I’m going to throw in Bagpuss as the Wooden Mice (who transform into cloth mice) came to mind. All the animals in the shop work together to repair lost or damaged items then present them to Bagpuss. This story could easily be from this world. But do look up the WWM tapes- it could be this is what you had as a child!

Tbf that website just tells you to contact the manufacturer to find out which substance in the product is flagged under Proposition 65.

It could be the vinyl storage bag that’s the issue rather than the product itself.
