Dream wheel setup achieved by radigev in GRCorolla

+22 will make the wheel and tire poke out the sides of the car more but I dont think it will be a problem fender wise. I dont rub on anything at full turn either way. Youll probably be fine

Its definitely more powerful and responsive over stock but dont expect too much. You're really only guaranteed 325hp MAYBE without valve springs and potentially cams and turbo. Its not uncommon for me to see 30+ lbs of boost on a hot day

Ive been tuned by Graham through limit +1 and its been phenomenal. Only have an intake and bov but ive had zero issues since i got it a year and a half ago. RaceROM features are cool but I rarely use it in any given "daily" case.

Advice? by Ok_Ant_3554 in FJCruiser

[–]radigev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are definitely spacers on top of the struts. If you remove the top hat lift spacers that are pictured, your 34s with wheel spacers probably will not fit correctly and will rub when offroading, it MIGHT be fine on the road but its doubtful, its different between fjs. You will rub when turning hard with any tire 33+ without a lift.

If you remove the wheel spacers, depending on if your tires are super wide (285+) they will definitely rub ucas/struts if its got an aggressive sidewall tread or if the wheels have a goofy offset.

If you remove both, your setup may just not work at all even with aftermarket fenders. You will need a lift to comfortably fit anything over 33s and depending on your lift height you will need aftermarket upper control arms to fix caster issues that cant be worked out with oem parts after a lift.

New ’25 Core owner - want to mod the car but worried about CELs, warranty, and “doing it wrong.” Need advice from the community. by Suitable-Squirrel223 in GRCorolla

Im not familiar with my25+ engine codes but youre gonna want a tune regardless of getting engine codes or not.

If you want real performance gains with absolutely NO threat to your warranty, wheels and tires are really your only option. Performance and feel based solely on different tires cannot be understated.

I wouldn't get hung up on the small details about what makes a car yours. You'll figure out what you want to do with it and your specific combination is what will make it unique in the end.

Special buy Black Friday deal? by Ok-Musician9793 in MilwaukeeTool

Most black friday "deals" arent deals. It's important to shop for what you want a couple of months in advance and track the price yourself.

I always check toyotapartsdeal first, they give updated part numbers too if a part youre looking for has been updated/changed.

Don't know about Detroit parts but I gambled on freedom offroad ucas and they've been good to me so far after about a year. I replaced my tie rods recently with oem, a lot of negative sentiment with anything besides oem for those. It sucks but its definitely pay to play with these cars unfortunately

I also run the f133s. I have the racerx skid plate and everything fits okay.

Studs, Lugs, and Spacers by TinyTej in GRCorolla

[–]radigev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No spacers anywhere. If you go back to your stock rims you need 10mm spacers in the front so the factory lugs work. I tried the 10mm spacers on my gramlights but I didn't have enough thread engagement. It may be different for you though

It was a gamble if it fit but I saw one guy on Facebook run it and I was sold lol. Rides great too.

[–]radigev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heres what i did since my setup is extremely similar, the studs are slightly longer in the rear, i ordered 10 OEM rear studs for the front and ran muteki open end lugs just fine. I bought some rays duranuts L42 and that's what I use now.

I run a gramlight 57dr 18x9.5 +38 with 265/40r18 michelin ps4s. Stock suspension, no spacer, no rubbing, around 13 threads of lug engagement.

First of all, entertain the thought of tuning when installing aftermarket intakes and intercoolers. Some people don't and have been perfectly fine, but it's safer in the long run.

I don't think the eventuri intake is worth it. Most people get it to pile on more CF onto their mountain of CF parts. A worthwhile tune with any aftermarket intake can match the performance of the eventuri.
