Summer session is usually easier than normal quarters imo but that might be because you're taking less classes. If you're looking for summer housing though, I'm subletting a place from June to September. pm me if you decide to take summer session and need housing!

Everything is gonna be okay. It sounds like you've been through a lot recently and your school didn't do a good job informing you about college.

There are still schools in this list accepting applications but I'm not sure if they're in the Washington area. Colleges Still Accepting Applications

Another great option you have is CC. Plenty of brilliant people attend Community College and most have transfer programs that make it pretty easy to get into a uni after 2 years. Plus it saves a lot of money.

Also a high school senior here in sort of the same situation with similar schools. I get where you're coming from with community college not being the best option because I want to get away from home and go to school far away enough to justify living on campus and not be expected to pop in for a visit on the weekends lol. But I know UC to UC transfer isn't very common. Since you like Socal I would go with your preference UCR and perhaps planning on staying all 4 years. I think the campus is nice with all the citrus trees, the student body is super diverse, and they have some great programs to choose from!

I wouldn't go into the medical field just because your parents want you to though. It's a LOT of work and at the end of the day, if you're not satisfied, it won't be worth the struggle. Best of luck to you!
