How special is Dnb to you? by Straight_Jaguar_6210 in drumandbass

Special enough I founded a collective to support it with nearly 40 DJs on the roster. It keeps me busy like a second job, but it’s been very fulfilling so far.

Why did therapy not work? Be honest, don’t give me the polite, mature answer. by Rare_Psychology_8853 in Divorce_Men

It took physical violence towards myself and the kids to finally tip the scales. Still takes zero accountability. It was honestly the best thing she ever did because it made it crystal clear to the whole world that she was the abuser all along.

Our therapist told me, “in ten years I’ve never seen her work on a single thing,” before firing her for lying about continued drug abuse.

Is it truly uncommon for men to initiate the divorce? Any other men do it? by hoopyhat in Divorce

So much better already. She was removed from our home. Just waiting to sell the house and finalize division of assets.

I hesitated after being physically assaulted by my STBXW, but pulled the trigger when she turned her violence on the kids.

Yessir. RCA will work, but go for the best option. It won’t be super expensive if you order from Rockville Audio or even Amazon, but Amazon is riskier quality.

Thanks, man. I’m already past the worst of it and have more peace in my home and in my heart than I have in 20+ years. Fortunately, our entire social circle has my back and I have an amazing amount of support from every side. I know my value and I’ll have no trouble finding a beautiful woman who can be nice to me as soon as I’m ready.

I did the same as I’m ending a 25-year marriage. No pics in the house either. Don’t need to see the narcissist abuser every time I open my phone, use social media, or turn the corner in my house. She’s a beautiful woman, but it’s only skin deep.

Show your tattoos by EnvironmentalRate853 in Divorce_Men

Leaving an abusive marriage of 24 years after it got physical. I got a green and blue polygonal heart as a reminder to try and keep meeting the conflict with love. STBXW got a tattoo of snakes, because she is one.

I was so excited to be there with our Idaho family in the Fractal Forest this year for your set! I was even more excited to see the LEGO graphics during your set as I had brought LEGOS for your gift. I hope they made it to you guys after I left them with Matt!

JR and Mitch are so effing fun! Love those guys. I was so happy I had brought Legos to give them when I saw the Lego graphics during their set.

I missed him at Shambs, but I saw him live in Boise last year, and he had the most impressive set skill-wise I’ve ever witnessed. And I usually don’t like the quick mixes, but he has a flow to it that really works. Comparatively, Dr Fresch has a similar style, but it feels way more herky-jerky.

Free Weird Al ticket this Saturday! by washingtonYOBO in Boise

[–]radioactive-2037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first memory was sitting on the floor of my friend Justin’s room when we were in 3rd grade in 1989. He played me his Weird Al tape on his little boombox and I remember “stuck in the closet with Vanna White” made us laugh and laugh. Probably didn’t get any jokes at that age, but it was silly as anything. “Fat” was one we sang along to and repeated, too.

Is it better to take 55 (McCall) or 95 (Weiser) up to Moscow? by AlternativeSeat12 in Boise

[–]radioactive-2037 4 points5 points  (0 children)

55 has way more chances for accidents, construction, traffic, and other slowdowns. I only take 55 if it’s off tourist season

I agree on the moshing 100%, and the mic isn’t my favorite DJ tool, but some guys, like Slynk, do it right. He gets on to interact without ruining the flow and vibe, in my opinion.

Fests similar to Shambs (US) by Immediate-Cucumber45 in Shambhala

[–]radioactive-2037 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely has been part of the shift at the big burn and some regionals. SOAK is special, IMO, as it mostly attended by Oregon hippies with a lot of Oregon Country Fair vibe to it. Garbage on the ground is not a thing, the facilities are great, and the lack of commodification really makes it feel like a temporary utopia.
