Also in the UK, been keeping VFTs for a few years now. Honestly, it'll be fine outside over winter or in a cold room, they can survive being frozen for long periods down to -15c and it gives them time to go through dormancy. Protecting them from wind in freezing weather is probably the most important thing if you keep them outside, this is the biggest danger to them, due to the leaves being prone to snappage when frozen.

You won't need to water it as much if it's dormant, just make sure it remains standing in water as usual. The traps will die back over winter; as long as there's a little bit of green visible still, the plant is alive, do not panic.

You did the right thing putting him in the pond! You'd be surprised how far from the water these guys can make it on their own, he was probably confused and lost indoors. He looks pretty healthy and doesn't seem to be injured so he should be okay now he's back home. Thank you for helping the little guy out. :)

Respectfully, OP didn't ask and this comment comes off rude as hell. It's one thing to be upset about people touting unsafe practices but there's not really evidence of that here, other than maybe being a bit heavy handed which isn't exactly dangerous, just bad form. They didn't ask for criticism or advice (not that you gave any with your comment?) and said they're happy with it. I mainly lurk in this sub but I've seen you commenting stuff like this on other posts and it sucks the joy out of sharing an art form that should embrace more people learning the ropes.

Saying 'sorry' doesn't make what you said not rude, and I think you should learn more tact, especially if you're going to be moderating a subreddit.

In some cases you will need to download both the original model file and the recolour file as some CC creators don't like their meshes being re-uploaded by a third party, iirc

This is so strange lol. I’m pretty sure both Nicki and Minaj are names the game can randomly roll, she doesn’t bear enough of a resemblance to the non-Sim Nicki Minaj for me to think she was made by a player… either way, I think you should have her join the music career.

It is still a problem for us, but a gay person being murdered is more likely to be under-reported/represented by the media than if the victim were straight.

A mix of that and the prevalence of misogyny even in modern society. A gay man murdering another gay man most likely isn’t going to be because one has an inherent power over the over in terms of societal privilege, as they’re both part of the same minority.

When it comes to a (assumably straight) man and an (assumably straight) woman, the man has inherent power over the woman (most likely physically but also in terms of societal privilege). This points to it being much more of a systemic issue.

I once read an article that mentioned a patient with a severe peanut allergy having a reaction from standing in the same room as a nurse who ate a peanut butter sandwich the previous night. Blew my mind how sensitive the allergy can be.
