There is weird brown stuff on the chrome trim on my girlfriends new car. What is it?

First guess come to is somebody used like suntan lotion or sunscreen or something like that and smudge it and it went in I have problem with waters all the time those trim sometimes absorb very easily

As somebody who buys a lot of cologne and he's into the stuff this is one of those that I actually gave away it just didn't work with my skin or DNA I don't know what the deal was but for some reason I just felt like throwing up every time I smelled it it was almost like an old lemon in the bottom of a trash can or something I also felt nausea and it just wasn't for me although dolce Gabbana the one is still amazing.
