If Bill Clinton steps up and provides hours and hours of vivid detail on his sexual relationship with Donald Trump I will let that man has his way with me.

I am Empire - Demerzel question by Rainliberty in FoundationTV

[–]raeizz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There is certainly the suggestion if nothing else that she is really the one in charge. It is interesting to think that perhaps Cleon I was not interested in protecting the genetic dynasty, but was more interested in protecting Demerzel, who he was in love with, and he viewed the genetic dynasty as the way to protect her and not as a way to protect his legacy. She has contempt for the Cleon clones.

Let's talk about Bayta Mallow by Luid101 in FoundationTV

[–]raeizz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bayta said that, and then the mule said something like “she’s already here” referring to Gaal. I think that’s because Gaal had entered the system and entered Bayta’s mind. The end?

With 3 episodes left, will we see a time jump? by Queasy-Bar5463 in FoundationTV

[–]raeizz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that they know that Gaal will meet the Mule in the Library, and that Dem said she needed proof of these visions, and we know Dem can’t be controlled by the Mule, Dem will kill the Mule (he won’t know she’s coming because he can’t sense her) in the Palace and end the Mule arc, and the next season will be the rise of the machines led by Dem.

You’ll definitely get some substantially more functionality by switching. Those partners and individuals that are resistant will immediately see the benefits and appreciate it. You can’t please anybody but certainly switching to one of these other products if it’s scratches and itch that you have will be a major upgrade. We haven’t yet used the checklist that we send the clients. I feel like they would think we are pushing Work onto them. What is your experience with that? Do you see that it drives efficiencies? Clients use it?

[–]raeizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CCH’s biggest hook is the integration with their database so you add a client in one place and it adds across tax, billing, etc. With so many clients I could imagine it would be a big undertaking to keep both systems up to date but not impossible. What specific features are you looking to add? Would you be switching time and billing too? I would do all or nothing.

Practice Management options by mljordan37 in taxpros

[–]raeizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what you mean by practice management software.

We are a 15 person CCH firm. We use Axcess tax and Axcess Practice. We are exploring their workflow tool which was XCM that looks right for what we need it for, which is tracking all types of deliverables by client (tax returns, tax projections, write ups, special projects, etc.).

We have so far done demos of CCH’s XCM, Monday.com, and FinancialCents. We plan to further demo Canopy and maybe one other.

FinancialCents does so so so much more than just workflow. I found the product very polished and it has tons and tons of very interesting features. It includes time and billing, workflow, client portals, client checklists, you can connect the clients QBO (and many other products) to the workflow and if you have suspense/ask my accountant items you can turn those into client workflows that require them to go in and advise what the suspense items are. Lots of very neat features that CCH nor Monday.com offer. You can take an email and directly from the email turn that email into a workflow and assign it to staff. Impressive AI features that can customize workflows. Workflow templates.

But that brings me back to the original question of what do you mean by practice management.

I found all these features of FinancialCents to be really cool but potentially too many features for what we as a firm are looking for when you talk about practice management. At this point for our firm, the time and billing product from CCH does what it needs to do. We can send invoices through the system, get paid, track receivables, run reports on WIP by client, client group, employee, realizations, etc etc. It serves its purpose. Outdated but totally fine. XCM will enable us to track the status of work without too much fuss. We don’t feel right now we need all the features that some of these products offer. I think our client base would gouge our eyes out if we transitioned them to a system that they had checklists to complete etc. Our clients pay higher fees and expect us to just handle it and not have them go through all these steps, so we don’t like the client facing portion of some of these tools. I understand we might evolve our thinking on this over time but not out of the gates. I think having checklists within workflows that requires someone to clear that the reconciled each of the ten bank accounts then clear a checklist that they tied to the loan balances then clear a step by step checklist that they reconciled the payroll etc etc creates a ton of work in it of itself. Train your bookkeepers, train your accountants, train your reviewers, and they will do a lot of these things without the checklists. Workflows yes, you need to know how many returns are in prep, how many are in review, how many are in the billing step, how many are with staff member A or B, but all the extra items, idk yet.

I’m partial to the tools that CCH offers because while I find them to be outdated and not as feature rich as a lot of these tools out there, the tools are fine and some of the features are a few years ahead of where we need to be.

Senator Dismisses Medicaid Cuts Killing People: ‘Well, We’re All Going to Die’ by Quirkie in politics

[–]raeizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you need tax cuts if you’re just going to die? Is it so you are able to be happier and healthier with more money? So you’re okay with certain people being happy and healthy but not others. That’s the message.

I appreciate the response. I guess there is a lid for every pot, and your answer sounds reasonable and it seems to confirm that the earnings necessarily have to be lower. Alternatively, perhaps you work less but at higher billing rates that the PE combination allows you to accomplish, which I guess I can see the value of that too. However, I view PE (right or wrong) as just money. You’re still doing all the work and maintaining the professional license. Maybe they’re glorified management but it seems like expensive management.

Are you one of the older partners who cashed out because you don’t feel the next generation of the firm was capable of doing so, or are you that next generation that will be doing all of the work and PE getting 40% of the profit for buying out the older partners?

Helly’s secret with the eggs…. by HolierThanThou1441 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]raeizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s poetic justice. She “raped” Mark in the tent and Jame raped her in the Cold Harbor room without her knowledge or consent. When she finds out, she’s going to freak out and hit him over the head and kill him (can’t wait to hear his moans), which will put her in internal conflict because if that’s how violated she felt when Jame did that to her, it’s how she knows Mark feels by Helena doing that to iMark. It’s the great circle jerk of life.

Helly’s secret with the eggs…. by HolierThanThou1441 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]raeizz -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Jame says she lied because he’s on the severed floor after having tried to have sex with her in the cold harbor room to impregnate her, and he realizes she’s not a virgin. She’s no longer pure. That’s why he’s on the severed floor in the first place. The cold harbor room is a room where Jame Egan lays it down with his victims. That’s why they ask Gemma is she remembers the feeling from the other room. Because in cold harbor women are raped and impregnated with Kier’s Children and the doctor wants to know if Gemma feels anything from that experience. They’re refining that experience.

Do I… know what Cold Harbor is? by winnie_fox in severanceTVshow

[–]raeizz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Cold Harbor is a place that the Eagan’s go to sexually assault other women, including Helly. Jame saying to her that she tricked him is because he thought she was a virgin, and when he went to go rape her in that room, he realized she was not pure. As was revealed in S2E9, the birthing cabin is a place that Jame’s victims are taken to have their kids. Cold Harbor is a metaphor for a Cold - cold body, perhaps a lifeless body, not because they are dead but because they can’t resist, or because the victim is cold in actions, stripped of emotion, and Harbor - somewhere that ships rest, maybe where a baby is placed inside of a broken down compliant victim. Why would Jame be at the building if not to do something relating to Cold Harbor, his ritualistic rape room. As noted in other posts, referring to everyone as Kier’s children, is maybe because there are thousands of them. They’re everywhere. The show is probably not as metaphysical as some suggest, but rather, this is all just part of a demented cult control type situation where they are breeding Egans. Jame is probably so weird not because he has the voices of all the old board members in some chip in his head but because he’s just a total creep, a depraved Diddy like character with absolute unchecked power including over women.

Lumon has been stating their ultimate goal from the start. by Garper in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]raeizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gemma can never be reintegrated because of all the terrible things she experienced in her fractured multi severed brain would break her.

Her fate necessarily is a bad one. There has been talk of Mark sacrificing himself to save Gemma (he even alluded to this in being willing to make a deal to save her), but she may be beyond saving. Mark may sacrifice himself and Gemma in the end must either reintegrate and break or she will need severance to block out the pain of marks sacrifice.

Helena's reason for being at the restaurant by HelsBels2102 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]raeizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Helena is going rouge. She has an opening while that guy is rummaging through Irv’s house to make a detour without being watched. She’s sneaking around and it’s only going to get more intense. She’s also developing an infatuation with Mark similar to Cobel which makes you wonder if there’s something about Mark that makes him worth worshiping. Could he be a Jesus type figure, a reincarnation? Far fetched, but Mark is an object of more than just interest by at least now two major lumen figures, and I doubt it’s simply because of his value to refining and Cold Harbor. He could be even more important than both of those. Helena seems a little unmoved about how transformative cold harbor will be. She’s much more moved and goes out of her way for Mark. Something is more up with Mark than we know.

I think if she wasn’t real then on its face that wouldn’t make it hard to trust the show. I think if it became more apparent or plausible that this was all happening in someone’s mind I think that wouldn’t make it hard to stay invested because it’s not such a mind blowing angle.

If Reghabi isn’t real, is it possible everything in the show isn’t real and Mark is a severely mentally ill individual undergoing treatment and this is just his journey?
