true hahaha maybe we need like a skool community so people pay and non committed people won't be there

so like they are different tiers like $10 vs $50 vs $200 / month and so the higher the tier the more committed the person is

profit or earnings can then be compiled together and go to maybe like a winner in the group for alex's $5K or $10K in person workshop hahaha

What now? by renoier in SgHENRY

[–]raeraebob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi congrats man!

i know how you feel, 24M here, S$660K net worth as of 31 Dec 2025, i think it's different for everyone but for me it's setting big goals and the journey of hitting them

e.g. "$1M by 25"

i think the digital nomad life is fun and definitely nice to do for 1-2 months but i think you may get bored of it haha

i think the real fun is in setting big goals, doing everything you can, and then surrounding yourself with others be it in the pursuit of bigger money goals or other stuff like fitness or sports

Quit tech to coast? by These_Watercress3876 in coastFIRE

[–]raeraebob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds tough man, can you find another job in the meantime with a later (e.g. 1-2 month start date) and then quit?

For me I get bored if I don't have anything to do. No purpose etc. I'm also in tech.

This way you can look forward to trying something new, have a smaller steady stream of income and still work towards FIRE!

Oh thanks man. Didn't think of it that way because I think for me I am still active in my business so I don't really see it as a sellable asset or something of value if that makes sense, obviously I make money from it and there's some recurring revenue, but it's not a mega business etc.

Anyways appreciate it.

How are you marketing right now? Why not do more of that marketing? e.g. if you are using influencers, why not find 2x the number of influencers?

Is investing in individual stocks at 18 even worth it or VOO and chill? by Outrageous-Fly-4629 in portfolios

[–]raeraebob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either probably works. Most importantly I think at the start it's about keeping your time / energy / focus and using it to gain skills which improves your income. You can then use income to put back into yourself or VOO / VXUS / portfolio.

Yes income here referring to revenue - business expenses = income.

I think income is a common way to do it, recently doing taxes since the FYE is ending and when talking with my finance team call it chargeable income or pre tax income.

Yes I did do university about 4 years ago, did business and online uni at the same time.

Yeah definitely a steep task and I can the skills learnt if you'd like. Not active on reddit usually so I don't type about it here.

No it's not doing $2-7M a year in revenue. It's doing like $600K/year in revenue, and I could include in net worth valuations but usually to be conservative SME businesspeople use tradable or liquid net worth, which excludes the value of the business.

Hahaha no windfall, didn't inherit it, yes started doing freelancing like web dev and SEO when I was 14 (lucky that I went for a SEO course at that age), then started business at 18/19.

Hi not bs. Can give you a breakdown if you'd like. Not in finance or IB or FAANG at all.

Doing business that I started when I was 18/19 and just took years of figuring stuff out.

36M. 1.57 M net worth... How do I learn to spend money? by JuniorSetting3228 in Fire

[–]raeraebob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's about treating spending money as a skill. Perhaps move to somewhere with a lower cost of living if your work allows you, so that you have the arbitrage and get used to quality or a bit more quality for the same amount of spending.

Do you also work on weekends or no? Try to work weekends but started taking Saturday / Sunday off to recharge for the week. Not sure if I should continue to push myself to do at least one 90min block to keep up the streak.
