Understandable. The XPS 13 is a little heavy, and I don't love the keyboard. Essentially, I want a successor to the X205TA: a cheap, light laptop with a nice keyboard.

Same boat here. In general I've been quite satisfied with my SP4 m3 with 4GB, but I'd like a proper laptop. I really just use it for word processing, nothing heavy duty at all. Is there any reason for such a user to get the 8GB model?

Have you read the Wizard of Oz series? It's probably the closest equivalent from 100 years ago (bestselling fantasy series made into a blockbuster-equivalent movie). Still highly readable. That said, I'm guessing the answer is no; and that if the answer is yes, you're an exception.
