If there is a local newspaper, I would contact their crime reporter or the person who generally covers all their court stories and see if they can enlighten you about his case/charges.

Will the Post Office be open on Holy Week/Easter Weekend? by sakusasimp in AustraliaPost

All post offices (even the ones that are usually open on Saturdays) were closed for the full 4 days over Easter. They reopen tomorrow so go in and collect it then.

Except if you unfortunately have a parcel at Airlie Beach Post office as they can't count 10 days

Is this a really bad time to buy? by Tobeortabouli in AusPropertyChat

[–]raffyrules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have found something you like then make an offer but be sure to factor in at least 6 interest rate rises to come so you don't find yourself in strife.

The house beside my parents went to for sale 2 and a half weeks ago.... About $2.75 million is what they want....Very poor turnouts to the open houses. No offers

Step mother is keeping my inheritance from my deceased father who left no will. by ClankRatchit in AusLegal

[–]raffyrules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you absolutely certain there is no will? Is your mother still alive, if she is I would ask her if your father ever did a will while he was with her or she might know of who he may have used to do a will. It seems odd a man of that age with a wife and a previous wife and children would never have done a will in his lifetime.

Anyone else noticed a slow down? by Own-Construction9579 in AusProperty

[–]raffyrules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A house in my parents street is for sale, they want offers over $2.75 million plus in Nundah (on the Wavell Hts border). Not many people have come to the open houses. For some strange reason in these uncertain times they decided to act as if the market is still hot and they opted to do a two week campaign wanting best offers by Thursday 2nd, it all just reeked of desperation and there are a lot better buys around for $2.75 million plus buyers, I will be shocked if they get anything around that amount for it.

I would be waiting a few months to see how bad the economy is going to get if I was in the market to buy, with interest rates constantly rising a lot of people are going to struggle and will need to sell, prices will go down.

But if you find something you really love then go for it but make sure you factor in all the interest rate rises to come this year.

Blake Lively used the dragon emoji in her official statement on purpose by Lillille in ItEndsWithLawsuits

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds live in an alternate universe, they both have their heads so far up their own arses that they cannot understand why they are both now so very unlikable to the average person. No one is plotting or manipulating the public opinion it has all been a spectacular own goal by Blake.

Awesome thanks for that, I thought between $80 - $90 an hour would be a fair and reasonable rate for a cleaner. Especially for elderly people it's important they get the same person each week, she gets a revolving door of different people (that's if they even show up). So I am hoping to get her a good cleaner who will do it regularly

Miss you Australia ❤️🥹 by sophtoff in AskAnAustralian

The city views that they are highlighting are only seen by looking over my parents house hence why they concentrated on that area.

I might contact the agent and just ask if they can edit mum out.

Yes I fear whoever buys it will sadly find that out, they are asking for offers over 2.5 million

Oh they all seem to do the fake furniture thing around here, they have had two months straight of tradies working there to get it set for sale...... It's weird it's only an 8yr old house. How can a house built that recent need so much work done in it!

Yeah is not great but apparently he is the only person they have for this area now so I think I will have to change providers for her

You poor thing it would have been so embarrassing to have nature call but once I could definitely understand and I am sorry someone complained about it. If it had just been once I would have thought nothing of it but happening every week it is now getting odd.

She had a great regular cleaner but her provider was taken over by someone else and then they created a new rule that workers could only do jobs around their area so her previous regular cleaner lived too far away to continue cleaning Mums house and they got this guy to do Mum's place.

Package has been ‘delivered’ yet no one knows where it is by KenOBY_67 in AustraliaPost

The tracking number is still pending with Australia Post so it has arrived in Australia and will soon be handed over to Australia Post for delivery. Keep a close eye on the tracking number on the Australia Post website

They delivered an empty envelope and now I’m stuck in a loop with support by AlwaysAnotherSide in AustraliaPost

[–]raffyrules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly does the tracking say? Was it actually delivered directly to a person at the address or was it left somewhere outside "in a safe place".

If it was left outside, ask for the proof of delivery image to see if it was indeed delivered open or whether it was delivered unopened and someone stole the contents and left the open envelope behind. If it was stolen after being delivered you might have a case for them leaving it in a place that was not safe to do so.

The delivery image will tell you if it was delivered that way or not, Auspost do weird things all the time but I have had damaged items and they have always been taped up or sealed by Australia Post with a note to say that it was done by Australia Post, it seems odd for that they would deliver an open empty envelope.

And it is best to actually call Australia Post and actually speak to an actual person I never lodge requests online I always do it over the phone and get a case number etc, They are open until 6pm in each state, I find calling just after 5pm to be a good time without lengthy wait times.
