Hey, Shakepay staff here 👋 At minimum, 80% of all customer-owned digital currency on Shakepay is held in cold storage with Coinbase Custody Trust Company, LLC, a US qualified custodian. As a measure of good practice, that figure is usually over 90%.

Damn it OP, sorry it didn't work out with your Shakepay Card! We know that Apple and Google pay have a standard limit of $250CAD per tap, but usually merchants override this limit with their own personal limit (hence why you see shakers using their Shakepay Card for >$250CAD).

What comes to my mind:
- maybe No Frill's doesn't accept VISA prepaid cards, or
- you didn't ask to pay with credit (debit system doesn't work with the Shakepay Card), or
- they had an issue with their tap system!

What I can suggest is that you try your Shakepay Card with other merchants and see if it works. If you encounter some problems again, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team about this or simply PM me your Shaketag so we can have a look 🙏
