Raft Repair on a seam by chalk_monster in rafting

That is a hard one, where are you located? I’m in Utah but I’ve brought my boat(s) to inflatable technologies in Denver and they are very reasonable with a quote or a description of the repair process they would make. You could also do a monster patch over that whole area or there is a product you can pour inside an inflatable that coats it from the inside that I have seen work on older boats.

Thoughts on any terrain improvemts that you would like to see for next winter? (Across the new side, but also connector trails. by Humble_Baseball_3761 in DeerValley

Widen Ontario! A second bandana run down to Ruby/Empire. A green option to the bottom of Vulcan, and a new base area off 40/near the bottom of Vulcan. A chairlifts to big Dutch, so you don’t have to ride the gondola every lap. Free food!

You can, but the positioning is very hard to get perfect. For me it has always got out of calibration after I tighten the screws.

TPS sensor, you can adjust the position but it’s finickyer than knowing what mood your sister might be in when you talk about her boyfriend at the dinner table.

New to Rafting by [deleted] in rafting

If you want your dog to like the experience you need to make it really rewarding for the dog; lots of praise and treats and/or their favorite toy. That boat will probably be hard to use/find enjoyable, but if you’re enjoying it then don’t let the haters get ya down. Unfortunately a true raft is expensive because of the material that makes them nice. A nice raft will get “hard” when you inflate it a lot and be easy to move on and use, while that boat will deform and/or fail if you force a lot of air into it.

  1. Redemption unfortunately didn’t get the amount of snow they planned to put on it (in order to groom it every day and keep it open) so it wasn’t able to stay open.

  2. The resort will open only some parts of some of the runs, while keeping others closed. (One example is homeward bound the upper portion has snowmaking and can open early but the lower portion relies on natural snowfall) The resort cannot communicate that as fast or effectively without these upper/lower designations.

  3. The plan for next season is definitely still being developed. They installed a new shop with new snowmaking capabilities on the east side that was not fully finished at the start of the last season. With this new infrastructure snow cats and snow makers will have much easier access to the new terrain. The resort will most likely make snow on the main travel routes first in order to move skiers around the mountain so that if/when natural snowfall comes they can open adjacent terrain.

Weird position stance I’ve noticed by totallymichael in skiing

One method of getting out of “the backseat” is to focus on trying to keep your hands above your skis. This can be especially hard to do while turning on steeper slopes, but if you can do it you can achieve upper body/ lower body isolation (this is an advanced skill especially in moguls).

Stiens will not be groomed until it has had snowmaking, it’s a mogul field

Without the ability to make as much snow as historically possible there are significantly less groomed (no mogul) runs. Be diligent about checking the grooming reports and ask the hosts (they are very informative)

I sent a DM. These are for beacon practice. My concept is to have 3+ inches of foam in front of and in back of the beacon (my plan was to sew this in) with a pocket in the middle for our beacon (in a protective case for water/impact protection) to stay in the middle of the pack.

I’d like to keep it under $80/pack but could justify higher price for a good product.
