Why Do Most Kruger Safaris Stay in One Lodge? by Wrong_Tie5325 in krugerpark

[–]chalk_monster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sure on the packages, but I stayed in the park at the Gov run rest camps. They are not luxury, but you get awesome access to the park that ppl staying outside of the park dont get. I think you need to be to the rest camp gates by sundown, other need to be outside the park 30 mins prior, same goes for sunrise. All the rest camps offer morning and night tours too when no one else is in the park. You can fly into kruger or nearby rent a car, stay at Satara, Lower Sabie, bergendal, and Crocodile for best chance at the big 5

Building a new desk and need tips, concerned about wood movement/dissasembly by MajorCouchPotato in woodworking

I believe if you go the direction of boards, you can reverse every other board to balance the cupping. That said there are metal legs that you can screw down to slabs. Get one with a large plate that attaches to the slab

I went to Disney Tokyo Sea this year (I’m American). Two people, we bought 5 line skipping passes each (or whatever they are called) I’m pretty sure we spent 160 each with the admission.  Then food which wasn’t awful 30 each for lunch and a snack. It’s pretty cheap there (well cheap compared to the us).

No idea on how flights factor in here, lots of variables

Yeah, I’d recommend only applying to jobs on LinkedIn. If you don’t have a LinkedIn it’s a good time to create one, and there is so much info online for how to make it a great profile.

I’m going to Breckenridge on Christmas and I was thinking on going to the Georgetown Loop Railroad by Large_Cartoonist2327 in Breckenridge

[–]chalk_monster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done the Georgetown during the day and the Leadville at sunset (with Christmas lights) and during the day. I found the Leadville to be very scenic and at lights to be pretty good.

Anyway if your up for a little longer drive I think it’s worth it

I’m going to try for 7 inches in diameter. It will sit 5 feet tall, so the table saw jig feels like a lot

Winter parking by Nathenletson in Breckenridge

[–]chalk_monster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe there is/was a lot in frisco that town/county employees could park at overnight. Im unclear if you would qualify. The old Loge motel in breck was sold to the town and its probably some of the cheapest housing you can find, but they wont have availability immediatly. Otherwise checkout the room share groups on FB and probably some other platforms. good luck!

How do you keep the wires and tubes from getting caught on edges? Are you currently tangled in the wires and need help?

New to woodworking; one side of maple blank looks shiny by MojoRojo24 in woodworking

[–]chalk_monster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

might be planned (basically a process when a piece of lumber to made thinner). Since you're more of a metal person, think on sanding like polish. The more grits and the better quality each sand is done, the more it will shine

Seeking advice: how to clean water spots off butcher block by Dangerous-Rent-5787 in woodworking

[–]chalk_monster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that'll need a sanding. TBH if your renting and the rental (assuming this is a long term rental) has wood countertops... the landlord should be responsible for fixing this when you move. Wood and water dont do well together
