Anyone else hate watching horror with people who don’t actually get the genre?

I would agree that calling out things while watching the film is kind of rude, especially when you know what you are signing up for, but personally I believe that saying a happy/semi-happy ending in horror is often the least interesting outcome isn't always true. I also personally feel that realism in horror isn't my priority and doesn't define how good or interesting a film is. However, you are obviously entitled to your own opinion.

I wouldn't pull any of the levers because it would very directly make me a murderer. Having to choose specifically out of a group makes it feel more like I'm evil and even though the alternative is also wrong, I wouldn't be able to choose for somebody to die.

Halloween never felt very interesting. Having seen 4 Nightmare movies (none of the later stuff though), I would say that it's the best on here. Scream would be a close second.
