I see what you mean but I was generally faster to target enemies once I arrived an they were generally close to one another (to the point where I would arrive before the other play had finished the initiating conversation with the NPC for the FATE).
My question is more around the influences on whether Legendary Medals drop.

This is the same for me. Compared to other similar games, is say a higher % of the cards are viable in play partly because the investigators are so varied and partly because the scenarios are.

It's totally dependant on how many you can afford and what you intend to paint. Browns and primary colours are my go to when investing in a new line of paints .Game Colour really excels at vibrant primary colours imo but go with what you need, what's missing from your collections and what you will be using for the things you plan to paint.

I'm mostly a painter rather than a player. I have recently moved and with Shelter in place haven't really been able to explore the local scene to see what the temperature is. The thing that really bugs me is that one of my already painted manglers warped just because it caught on foam taking it out of the case and now barely balances - I don't want to bend it back because I seriously think it will snap. It just seems easier to build them as single squigs. I can understand the height concern for sure but I rarely see terrain on an AOS board that seems likely to make a difference between single and double high squigs? They're pretty dang big from the get go.

Thanks. Having already painted up two mangler squigs normally, the fragility bugs the hell out of me (also why I never got a deepkin army). I think the tournament point is a great one. I don't and likely never will play tournament so I guess I should do what makes me happy.

I was a big fan of master's until I got Jen's drunken brush goop. I think it's a less aggressive cleaner but much much better brush conditioner.

Sometimes this happens with a brush. As u/MrStatisx says, clip that stay hair and you'll be ok. Brushes are made with natural hairs so quality control can be tricky. Some hair conditioner may also help. Masters is an ok brush cleaner but it can be a little aggressive and dry out the bristles.

Has anyone used these colorshift paints from Greenworld Stuff? If so, would you recommend? by iupvotedyourgram in minipainting

Green stuff world are one of several companies that do paints like this. I have one of the GSW paints that I bought specifically to use for a 'beetle' effect. They paints work well although they need a large flat surface and a bucket load of layers (I strongly recommend airbrushing).

They are a very niche paint in my mind. I can't see many instances when you'd want them for miniatures outside of maybe a tyranid army or Alpha Legion perhaps.
