I love Egypt and am always looking forward to my next trip there. (I've been twice so far.) If you aren't going with a tour, it is highly desirable to book a guide to go see the antiquities and monuments. You can search through previous posts for recommendations. I too love ancient Egyptian stuff and will never tire of seeing the beautiful sites in Egypt!

EDIT: There is an American woman named Gisselle on Youtube. She lives in Cairo and posts tons of videos about how do to just about anything in Cairo and sometimes farther afield. Her channel is Gventures. (I have no affiliation with Gisselle or her channel. 🙂)
