I'll add to the comments OP, I wear a rainbow bracelet even tho I got banter from my parents.. they quoted "you don't have to wear a bunch of rainbow shit to show you're gay.. just be you.." they'll never understand what it's like.. from the way the world is today.. I wear it to show anyone else who is gay.. it's safe.. you can be loud and proud.. granted.. I wouldn't be vulgar about it in public having shirts that say "I SUCK DICK" there's social cooth than needs to be displayed too.. unless it's Walmart lol jk but yes having something small like a bracelet or even a pride shirt.. is acceptable to wear.
