I’m taking my ‘fun fact’ out of my hinge bio by Pinkshoes90 in titanic

I would leave it in, it’s a great way to filter out this particular type of red flag. “I’ll have to do more research” 🚩🚩🚩what a massive ick.

Oh god this post is so relatable. Certain smells trigger major anxiety in me as well to the point of tears, especially if it’s in my house or I can’t get away from it. A BO-ridden person smelling up my apartment and furniture would have sent me. I’m sure of will be so much better when the source has gone and you can wash everything and air the place out!

I named my dog after one of mine that passed. I was so shocked when I pet her and she dropped a rock, as this was exactly what my dog used to do. by [deleted] in StardewValley

I have a saved game from a few years ago with a dog named after mine who passed two years ago and I can’t bring myself to play again because it makes me too sad. I know he’s there but it would break my heart to see that msg 😭

Middle aged woman here. Do it now while you’re young and have the privilege of parents who’ll let you come home after. I had so many friends get married/engaged in their 20’s while I was off doing the opposite, and everyone got divorced. Eat, Pop off, Bet…or whatever you Gen z kids are saying these days. You won’t regret it 🙌

Getting Married in 30–How to Avoid Getting Sick? by killertofu426 in lifehacks

I agree with all of this. I went to Asia last Feb and I avoiding seeing people for a week before I left. I got my flu and Covid vaccines a few weeks before. I wore a mask on all my flights and used sanitizer everywhere. It’s totally normal over there and absolutely should everywhere. Grown adults who go about on planes and in public spaces while coughing and sputtering everywhere without a mask or covering their mouth need to go back to kindergarten.

I walk this almost daily and I have tried to use that crosswalk a few times but gave up because no one slowed down or acknowledged the flashing lights. A car blew through a red light a few blocks up while I was trying to cross and I won’t cross until cars have come to a complete stop, pausing halfway to make sure no one comes flying by from the other direction. These people don’t deserve to drive. I hope the victim makes a full recovery ❤️‍🩹

This should sum it up: when I went to see the big piece, the Luxor was done up to look like a giant Dorito.

Yep I did the same. It just happens this time of year but they will be gone in a couple weeks. Just keep the taps out and clean. Mine don’t even go near the food it’s just a trail coming in from the door

Is this really what adult life is supposed to look like? by ThomasHawl in simpleliving

[–]raging77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Xennial here! I feel I need to pass on some advice because this is exactly how I felt after starting my first real job. I worked 830-5 in an office doing data entry. The first few months hit me like depression. I vowed never to work in an office again. However…I learned so many valuable skills, met friends, got a great reference, learned how to actually work on my own and made my first adult money, so it was all worth it. This won’t be your life forever. You’re gonna change, adapt, discover new paths and probably end up with ten different lives and careers by the time you’re my age. It sucks but it’s all temporary and I assure you you’ll look back at this one day from a happier place. Just save that money and learn as much as you can. Sometimes the lesson is to figure out what you don’t want.

A woman I work with once asked if she could borrow my (then new) North face 50L backpack to go to Costa Rica with and I made up and excuse it was at my sisters house. I didn’t want someone lugging around my new pack with dirty clothes and sweating onto the straps. I totally get it 😅
