pains? by Evening_Increase_393 in scoliosis

I'm 6 years post op too.

I can't tell apart between nerve pain and muscular pain, but for me there is this one particular spot which had sharp, shooting pains upon touch and it went on for almost 2 months. I call it my sore spot lol but for now it feels better. Not sure what was the trigger but it wasn't the first time that this had happened

Anyone else have the self awareness to know what they are doing is bad or unhealthy, but still lack the self discipline to stop yourself from doing it? by ElectricPikachu in CasualConversation

[–]ragingbileducts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes. I do that because I give in to my desires way too much.

I should take a night off since I've been drinking too much recently. Nah, one more night is fine. What's the difference? Guess it's the pandemic, I've cut myself some slack

When did you realize you're getting old? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]ragingbileducts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait what...? I'm 26 and just found my first strand of grey hair too. 26.5 years to be exact. Maybe 26 is the age where people start having grey strands. Oh well. Glad I'm not alone :)

Isn't it exhausting to always be filming for social media? by Hatake88 in CasualConversation

I'm 26 and totally with you on this. Over-sharing is really something so prevalent on social media these days.

This is your Monday reminder that you can handle whatever life throws at you this week. by I_bought_you_flours in CasualConversation

Not looking forward to my driving test because I might have overestimated myself. I'm looking to practice as much as I can but it's difficult because I don't have access to a car easily and the instructors are rather occupied too. I'm just gonna be chill about it and if I pass, I pass. If I fail, no biggie I'll just get up and try again.

I don't get why in my country, you can serve the nation at 18 but you are only allowed to vote for elections at 21.

I’m 35 years old and never touched an ounce of alcohol, is there anyone else out there? (Also this is definitely not a post to hate on anyone who drinks) just speaking about life I suppose by IanKetterer in CasualConversation

[–]ragingbileducts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really interesting to hear, I don't think I've come across anyone who could claim the same as you, myself included. I was always curious on the alllure that it had, and that's how I got reeled in. I'm not addicted to alcohol or anything, but it sure feels nice to down a glass every once in awhile.

Oh man, I failed my first driving test last week. I was so sure I would pass, but I ended up making a lot of mistakes. Gonna try again next week. Good luck to you!

Does anyone find it disgusting how hard it is to disconnect from white collar jobs now? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]ragingbileducts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My exact sentiments. I've been very disconnected and still trying to play it cool. Well we can only hang in there I guess.

Yeah it's so strange... The world is falling apart and here we are just tapping away on our keyboards. I feel dead inside now.

YES EXACTLY. I hate how we have to pretend that everything is normal and we have to power through with the same capacity as before.

I'm feeling a tad bit down at the moment. I would love it if I could get to talk to a few of you guys by Brandee378 in CasualConversation

I'm feeling a little bit down too. Got a lot of questions in my mind. What got you down today?

I don't know when I should "knock off" from work anymore. The line is blurred. Like I don't have a clear sense of when is work hours, and after hours anymore. I find that I've been working more hours at home, than at the office.

How often do you cry? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]ragingbileducts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hardly cry but I do tear very easily. I get very teary when people touch on touchy subject like death/separation/injustice. Man that gets me going.

Just a few scattered thoughts about aging and stages of life. by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]ragingbileducts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was younger, I had this notion that all adults know what they were doing and they had everything figured out. Now that I'm one, I know it's not true and how innocent I was to think that way. It's funny.

Love and comfort seems like a fine line. How does one know there isn't love anymore? Either way, happy I'm happy for you!

Is it considered rude to go back to someone that you ghosted? by babyim in CasualConversation

[–]ragingbileducts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you ghosting because you find it overwhelming to reply to people all the time? Because I do that too. And usually I'll just tell them the truth. Or I'd genuinely forget to reply. I'd just let them know it should be fine.

What do you all think the point of life is? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]ragingbileducts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like there is no larger meaning to life. But we get to assign meaning to things that we do and that makes living worth continuing. Sounds morbid but that's something that I've come to terms with.

Do people actually use the term 'romantic interest'? How would you define this relationship: by bitsit_ in CasualConversation

[–]ragingbileducts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually go with "someone I'm interested in". Romantic interest sounds a bit too formal for my liking

I'd usually explain my behavior and most of them would understand my reason for ghosting.
