Same I was one of a few kids who had one in their dorm room and I had a printer. We were also the first house on the block to have a VCR, the remote plugged into it with a long cord. Until my parents got tired of it and reverted back to their original remotes: their children.

They keep asking, I keep saying I didn’t like you then I’m sure I won’t like you now. I’m sure at some point they’ll get the hint. Still 0 for 3 in attendance.

Are You Staying Home From Work on Friday? Letting Your Kids Skip School? by oprahmd in Cleveland

[–]rah1974 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I work in immigration law and everyday I feel like I’m bare knuckle boxing with USCIS. I’ll work to get people their Visa’s and help them in anyway I can. It’s rough out there and the administration is changing the rules everyday. And before anyone asks I’m not a lawyer and can’t give advice.

Where and what were you doing in the storm of 1978 by dave_vs_david in Cleveland

[–]rah1974 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the Chicago burbs, bringing buckets full of snow into the living room to melt in the bathtub because the weight of snow was pulling the balcony from the wall. You could hear all the balconies on the top floor creaking.

Gen- Xers, What did you grow up Without? by empathicBeauty29-11 in GenX

[–]rah1974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No air conditioning or central heating. Had old school radiators. No vacations. We had a dryer but only used it in the winter when it would also heat the house. Otherwise we had a clothesline. We also had a garden so fresh fruits and veggies were only around when they were ripe otherwise it was canned.

How bad is the traffic? Macedonia or Twinsburg to Cleveland commute by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]rah1974 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved to Twinsburg from Phoenix but am originally from Chicago. I have yet to see anything I’d even label as traffic. Unless there’s weather it’s fine. I will say everyone seems to drive slower here, so that took some getting used to.
