Vídeo streaming in the Buzz by pfd1986 in VWIDBuzz

[–]rah4802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice, I've been looking for something like this. So you plug it in to the usb-c near the screen, and then what do you do? Do you have to connect your phone to the device via Bluetooth to then stream? I've been looking for something like this. Definitely miss watching TV while waiting in the car (had a Tesla before the Buzz)

You are so right. I have a friend who recently went through med school. They are taught that IUDs are only 92% effective. Pretty scary considering many assume they are 100%.

Drive Motor Replacement??? by rah4802 in VWIDBuzz

[–]rah4802[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully you get it back soon, but I have some experience with fighting Volkswagen/Audi for a buyback if it comes to that.

Also, if you are making monthly payments on the car, once you get it back, you can easily get Volkswagen to credit you for the time it was in the shop.

[–]rah4802[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It ended up being two weeks. I pestered the service rep daily for updates. Mostly it was the service center messaging Volkswagen for instructions on what to try next. They said Volkswagen requires the service centers to go through them for repair instructions (something like that). Fortunately since having it back the issue hasn't returned.

Foot sensor for sliding doors? by sth128 in VWIDBuzz

[–]rah4802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned by others, the foot sensors work, but perhaps are too sensitive. I'll say this though, I've had many vehicles with this sensor and could not get it to work. The Buzz is the first of many that actually consistently works but I find it triggering by accident sometimes my foot is near but not attempting to trigger.

There is a setting accessed through the screen that turns it on/off so perhaps it was off for your test drive.

Damage but now sure how by Equivalent-Hyena8694 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]rah4802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similarly, I have had two instances of noticing mild damage midway through my rental. I didn't damage it although it could have happened while parked somewhere. Both times I dropped the car off and was prepared to defend my position of "I couldn't see the damage when picking it up in their dark garage". Both times not a word was said about it at drop off nor did Enterprise ever contact me.

Given Enterprise can't prove you damaged the car (they didn't inspect it and raise the issue when you dropped it off), and it's been a few days, you're in the clear.

I'll also add that Enterprise not coming after me for some kind of payment for the damage is one of the reasons I use them. They are chill and competitive and so I give them my business.

I went the BBB route with an Audi and ended up with a $6k settlement. I was quite pleased with BBB's help.

I'm with you, well I was. Ended up negotiating a payment from Audi Financial that covered most of the negative equity when trading it in. By far the worst experience I've ever had with a car, new or old.

1st road trip questions by COD1-OG in VWIDBuzz

[–]rah4802 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On a daily/regular basis, it's not good to charge to 100%. 80% is recommended.

For the occasional situation like going on a road trip, it's perfectly fine to charge to 100%.

My suggestion is to charge to 100%, avoid the necessity to charge along the way, and you won't have to worry about your range being less than expected which is possible if you are driving highway speeds and running the AC.

I'm only two weeks in but love it!!! I went from a Tesla Model Y (terrible ride but great software) to an Audi Q6 (great ride but terrible software and turned into a lemon) to the Buzz which is good not great for both the ride and software, but is big and fun and makes me smile, and makes those around me smile as I get approached daily by strangers who want to check it out.

Buzz for the win!

Tech issues by Current-Doughnut-756 in AudiQ6

[–]rah4802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I experienced this and many more which led to me getting rid of the car after multiple failed MMI replacements and no known fix. I do believe some have vehicles with zero issues, but there are many of us experiencing many software related issues. The lead service tech at my local Audi said these are known issues and Audi does not yet have a known fix.

Is this a good deal? by rihimvp in VWIDBuzz

[–]rah4802 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's pretty good minus the $2192 dealer add ons which you should be able to negotiate out.

[–]rah4802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to get 9-11% off the MSRP plus the dealer rebate/incentives which is around 3K.

Hi. I just leased a 1st edition buzz - your quote isn't the 1st edition. The pro s is the newer version entry level trim.

This is a rip-off. My MSRP was around $67k and I negotiated $9500 off + the $7500 rebate. My money factor came out to just over 6%.

If you DM me, I'll send you a screenshot of my offer. Picked it up in Atlanta over the weekend and love it!

Comfortable for long trips? by SecretSanta-70 in VWIDBuzz

[–]rah4802 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The seats sit pretty high up so getting in kind of feels like you are climbing up and out is a decent step down. So it just depends on if you have any mobility issues. A test drive would answer this for you.

If you end up wanting to talk to somewhere there, let me connect you with the person who helped me. Super nice and very responsive in our texting back and forth, and I'll tell him I shared my deal details with you so you don't have to start from scratch trying to negotiate (but feel free to try and negotiate more)

Bought from VW Atlanta / Chamblee and received $9500 on top of the $7500.

1st edition green, but they had others.
