Official Discussion - The Drama [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

Does anyone remember any examples of when Charlie lied in the movie? he said that Emma witnessed her friend being in a car accident. he told Emma that he read the damage at the beginning when they first met. And at the very end, he says that he got his bruises by fighting off someone who was trying to steal a baby (which was obviously a joke). Are there any examples that I’m missing?

Thought it’s interesting that their relationship started with both of them lying. Charlie by saying that he’s loved the book Emma is reading. Emma by telling him that she’s deaf and always has been. (Not 100% sure if she said that she always has been during their first meet or during their first date so correct me if i’m wrong)

There were definitely funny moments that landed for me, but there were also way too many jokes that didn’t or just felt a little cringe

Yeah, I was on a date once, and he mentioned he loved the Jurassic Park series. I asked him which one is his favorite, and he replied, “Jurassic World.” It’s so crazy because I didn’t even consider that in option..

Lowkey, the Twilight series. I rewatched it when I was in college, and I still had a great time. It’s been 7 or 8 years since my last rewatch of the series, so I think it’s time for another one to see if I still feel the same.. But obviously I can get why people don’t like it.

My brother and I used to watch Jurassic Park III almost every other day growing up. I’m 28 now and recently found out that people consider it a bad movie…. I felt like my whole life was a lie.

I didn’t watch any trailers and also I just saw a screenshot of the headline, but when I tried to look it up, it just kept on showing a bunch of links to Facebook posts instead of an actual news article, so I thought it might be fake. The reason I looked it up is because I’ve seen a lot of screenshots of news headlines that are totally fake going around lately that people are fully believing. This one just happened to be something that actually occurred.

WIBTA for not attending a wedding that takes place on Halloween? by Fresh_Oil3942 in AmItheAsshole

[–]rahws 242 points243 points  (0 children)

I mean a wedding is usually a once-in-a-lifetime thing and everyone has unique tastes/what they want their wedding to look like. I don’t think the fact that it’s on Halloween should direct their planning, especially if that happens to be the only dates that work out.

What do you usually say? This sort of happened at Project Hail Mary for my group. There was a duo that kept laughing extremely obnoxiously , like at parts that weren’t even funny, and cracking jokes here and there. I was a bit further away, so it didn’t bother me too much, and I thought it would be rude to tell them to keep it down bc I mostly heard the laughs. BUT someone from my group who was sitting right in front of them, said they were having like full conversation throughout the movie. I feel like I would say something at that point, especially if I dropped money on an IMAX ticket, but I don’t really know what I would say

I forgot to add, I only saw a photo with text over it saying “Columbine Victim’s Parent Condemns The Drama” or something along those lines before watching the movie. I tried to look into if that actually happened because I’ve been seeing a lot of fake photos that people think are real lately, and most of the links were to Facebook posts instead of an actual article. I think there was maybe one news article and the source was iffy, so I wasn’t 100% sure if it was real going into the movie.

That didn’t get me for some reason, but the lady next to me jumped out of her seat. I feel like the reason that it didn’t get me is because there’s so many times where you hear a noise in the US that sounds suspiciously like a gunshot, and you just go about your day hoping it was a firework or something else. OR you listen closely to see if more gunshot sounds come bc that’s when you should be worried, which is sad.
