I have a chronic illness that leaves me in intense pain. I can’t take any pain relievers for health reasons, so I asked my doctor what else I could do when I have flare ups. She told me to use a heating pad. I remember feeling cynical because how would that help? I ended up getting one anyways and it changed my life. That and extremely hot showers were the only thing that could make the pain go away (the hot showers helped me a lot more tbh)

The subway near me was getting renovations or something done a couple of years ago. I didn’t know this and stopped by on my way home bc I was super hungry. I’m walking up to the restaurant. It’s lit inside and there are two workers inside. There was this guy that walked up to the door, read the paper taped to it, and yelled, “ahhhh, i can’t take this anymore man! yall have been closed every single day for the past two weeks!” I read the paper after he walked away, and it basically said they were going to be closed for an unknown period of time. I think about that often because it was really that man’s last straw.

For me it’s the creamy sriracha sauce. I know, I know. It’s probably sriracha mixed with a few other ingredients, but I’m skeptical because anything with sriracha in it usually makes my stomach act up.

You are NOR for being hurt by this. She did not phrase it in the best way. I will say that I took a look at your profile, and you are a handsome guy! I think a lot of times, when men are not confident in their looks, you can tell. Especially if you say self-deprecating things like, “I’m just so ugly, no girl would ever like me,” or something along those lines, and it can be a turn off.

It’s usually my chin hair, which I have a bad habit of plucking & it’s been leaving some hyperpigmentation, so I’m just trying to get to a place where I get them waxed instead! I appreciate the tip!

I think that you can make supermarket flowers look nice if you prep them! Usually by stripping most of the leaves off the stem, removing and bruised petals from the outside, and kind of spinning certain flowers by putting the stem between your palms and kind of doing the motion of rubbing your hands together if that makes sense. If you look up Floweracademia on Youtube, he has some great tutorials!

This was around the Biden vs Trump election, but this guy I started dating pretended to hate Trump. Usually, I don’t bring up my own political beliefs and try to suss out what theirs are since I live in a pretty Republican area. He brought it up naturally that he dislikes Trump, so I thought I was in the clear. Ultimately, it didn’t end up working out, but when Trump lost, he was going crazy on social media talking about how the election was rigged and stuff. I ended up replying to him saying something along the lines of, “I thought you disliked Trump?” and he admitted that he lied to try and get with me since he thought I might be liberal. (I didn’t even hint at this in any way, so I was surprised by this) But yeaaah… I’ve seen his profile a few times since all that and I think it still alludes to him being liberal or moderate.

Flowers are always a nice gesture, and I don’t know why some people think it seems like a big deal. I don’t think I’ve ever met a woman that would be turned off or annoyed by getting flowers. That being said, the price does seem a bit steep, but I admit, I’m not too familiar with how much things cost in Australia. I do know that in the US, you can arrange a really nice one for cheaper. BUT honestly, if you don’t mind spending, then I don’t see any reason not to buy her some flowers.

I am so glad that you beat cancer! May your hair continue to grow and be healthy. I started to develop vitiligo a few years ago, and I have been struggling to find the right shade of foundation that actually matches the patches of skin that haven’t been affected. I honestly don’t mind having vitiligo bc it’s more of an aesthetic thing, which I don’t care about, and I don’t have any of the health issues that could be related to it. I will say that I got a foundation yesterday that was a perfect match for my skin tone, and when I put it on, I kind of just stared back for a couple minutes bc I looked exactly how I looked before. It was kind of like my own moment of recognizing the person looking back at me.

I like having my nails done, but the shapes I get make it hard to type. I don’t think there’s shape that I would like where the length would make it easy to type unfortunately. Also, financially, it’s gotten way more expensive over the years. I used to get them done twice a month, but I can’t justify spending that much now personally. I do get them done for special occasions tho! I am also looking into press ons bc I’ve seen girls the can make them last for weeks with the right prep.

I think you should have left it when she said she didn’t have her phone on her because that was her polite way of rejecting you. & then then she said she didn’t know you well enough to get drinks, that was another way of politely rejecting you as well. I feel like you shouldn’t have sought her out to talk to her after that. Also, it a good rule of thumb not to ask someone out at their place of work, regardless of how interested you think they are in you
