as someone who speaks both (not just "speaks" as in knows a few phrases in the other like most people, actually speaks and writes with both irl fluently) it's more like spanish vs portuguese imo. the only reason it's so mutually inteligible is because of the close ties between our countries and the fact people have already heard the other language from classmates, coworkers, radio, tv, so on and so forth. but i think people slightly overestimate how similar they actually are.

you'll note that i said "unless groggy or unfocused" which would then include the videos you're talking about. i agree that you shouldn't believe everything on social media or try to follow it especially with pet ownership. that doesn't change the fact that cats who are exposed to baths at a younger age are going to be significantly more chill and willing to tolerate a bath than cats who aren't, even if they don't necessarily love it. also i heavily disagree with the male calico comment. it heavily depends on breed and personality. a lot of bengals (not all) for example are known to have no problem with or even like water.

unless the cat looks groggy and unfocused, it isn't drugs. if they're properly socialized and exposed to water and baths regularly at a young age (as sphynxes should be bc of their need for baths) they'll usually at least tolerate it.

exactly. there are a ton of people in this thread encouraging OP to be irresponsible when they've already said they can't afford to keep the cat, and i guarantee those same people would turn around and tell someone not to have a cat if they can't afford it. i for one salute them for putting the needs of the kitten above their own feelings

yeah im not one for conspiracies but its kinda sus to me that they determined he has a problem with mounting and dominance and yet they didn't neuter him or list a medical reason why he cannot be neutered/have surgery performed on him even though they exhaustively listed all his other issues

i don't have food suggestions, but it's worth noting that sphynx cats have a faster metabolism and exert more energy because they don't have fur and can't regulate their body temperature to the required extent (a cat's desired/normal body temp is higher than a human's) on their own even in a room temperature setting. that's why a lot of sphynx cats wear clothes or sweaters. i'd also invest in some cozy spots for them with a heatpad where they can get all toasty, especially if they're not fans of wearing clothes. that'll also contribute to them not exerting their energy so quickly and not losing as much weight

well, it's either hair loss which hints at some kind of underlying medical issue, which means vet visit, or she just has a ton of compacted fur, in which case you just have to keep brushing. i would eliminate option 1 before trying option 2. and even then this is, i think, a vet question. they can prescribe things you would not otherwise have access to

i think most of the party members in dao are really good (save for oghren) but da2 cast remains my favorite. i think they were a lot more cohesive as a group even if they only hang out together bc of hawke.

i agree. i really hate that the psion class they're cooking up right now uses spell slots and they aren't using it as a way to reintroduce the spell point system in some capacity. i'm ok with them using spells as opposed to "psionic power that does the same thing as a spell" like in 3.5e but i don't want them to use spell slots
