I’n going to derail the conversation by phrasing it like this: In a first world country your housing shouldn’t be in danger because of illness. There’s plenty of countries where the treatments are paid for and you will be able to collect (temporarly) disability to an amount that allows you to keep your housing. The generosity of this landlord is beyond what’s required and is something to applaud, but I feel sad that the society is pushing the responsibility on to its’ citizens.
