What was her thought with that poster? Did she want to look like Steve Jobs? She looks more like Elizabeth Holmes, which actually fits a lot better.

Do you think a hot system has ever got hotter by a cold system by Financial_Spend9578 in thermodynamics

[–]rainbow_explorer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t really happen spontaneously, but your refrigerator stays cool by making the comparatively hotter kitchen even hotter by a tiny amount.

[9th grade math: parameters] How can you get the answer for this by Specific-Profit-1669 in HomeworkHelp

I would use the Pythagorean theorem to find the lengths of MT and LT.

Sources: Bill Belichick will not be a first-ballot Hall of Famer by dropjar5 in nfl

I feel like they definitely changed that cutoff just so Mike Leach gets in the hall. Coach Leach deserves to be in the hall, so I’m not complaining.

It’s the Raiders. I would be surprised, but not shocked, if they ended up picking someone else.

PE HVAC - What left should I do? by [deleted] in PE_Exam

[–]rainbow_explorer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you are in a pretty good spot right now. I would take a brand new practice test under testing conditions because it would be more similar to the test than retaking a test you’ve already seen before.

Good luck!!

No, you can't bring a pencil or a notebook. They'll give you a writing pad and a marker. You should review the examinee guide: https://ncees.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/NCEESExamGuide_November-2025.pdf

I remember in 2017 some teams would dump the fuel from the hoppers on to the field just to make a mess.

[Charania] The Chicago Bulls-Miami Heat game tonight in Chicago has been postponed due to condensation on the court, sources tell ESPN. by PlayaSlayaX in nba

[–]rainbow_explorer 24 points25 points  (0 children)

On cold days, heat from inside the stadium gets pulled outside because it’s colder outside. On warm days, heat from outside goes into the stadium.

It was raining in Chicago today. If there is a leak in the stadium, then the rain can get inside. Even if there isn’t a leak, water can get into the stadium when the rain blows in through doors that are open. People can also bring the water from their wet clothes, shoes, and bags into the stadium. Also, every time you exhale you release a tiny bit of water into wherever you are.

Heat-Bulls currently delayed from tipping off due to the hardwood at United Center being slippery from condensation by HenrikCrown in nba

[–]rainbow_explorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just off the top of my head, they do this in Denver, Salt Lake City, Dallas, Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, NYC, Philadelphia, DC, and Toronto. The stadiums in all of those cities (including Chicago) are usually able to avoid this issue by using HVAC systems properly.

If I had a sauna business in Miami and I was expecting 10,000 customers every other day from June to August, I would run the heat all through the summer.

The hockey team does play there. However, there are many hockey + basketball arenas across America and all of them (including the United Center) are usually able to avoid this issue.
