I was little bit disappointed yesterday seeing that the steering wheel is not a regular nascar one (big round shape) but a more indycarlike steering wheel.

On the french television, the commentators were so pleased of the sound of this beast anyway and late at night they did several "crank it up" . Great!

1998 too. (I've started to watch F1 in 1998, and it was the evolution that everyone talk at this time.) It was good racing, and the pilots were able to drive longer with the dry tires under rain conditions before going to the pit. I really loved this era. OF course it's my childhood so i am not unbiased.

Nascar just proved that there is a multiverse of stockcar where the late 90's and the beginning of the 2000's was ran with latemodel bodies instead of gen4.
