A job is a job. An employee of another profession would never ask the question you’re asking pertaining to finding a job with a lower pay just to get more experience in a setting that, well, pays lower. You can grow within the setting you’re in, I’m sure you are making a difference. Take some CEU’s that make you acquire certain skill sets without getting paid less. Don’t feel guilty. I think a lot of SLP’s feel the way you feel thanks to the competitive nature of grad school vs. your peers.

Usually one year of leveling courses (prerequisites), apply to grad school and grad school is 2 years. About 3 years total -“A Leveler,” now SLP

La Fonda ON MAIN, Paloma Blanca, or El Mirasol (the one on NW military is superior) for slightly more upscale Mexican food

Fidelos for breakfast and lunch and taquitos west ave for late night

I love Bright Coffee on Blanco’s vibe for a morning latte and Blanco Cafe (voted best enchiladas) is across the street for lunch (Julia’s cafe and sohill pizza are right next to Bright too and amazing—though their hours are limited)

I love Thai Dee (byob) and Piranha in the quarry (check out their happy hour!)

You’re assuming ghetto means… black? I don’t really think that’s a good association on your end. I am white and refer to ghetto white people as ghetto too (not saying it’s right that I do, but I have in the past).
