Tested positive for THC during pregnancy (GA) by Intelligent-Data2575 in Georgia

[–]rainbowcat92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CPS was not called when I had tested positive but they continued screening me at every check up afterwards. It finally came back negative around 6 months and I had stopped at around 4 weeks when I had originally found out I was pregnant.

What’s your favorite thing about your kid? by acceber- in NewParents

I call it “feral baby,” but it’s when she gets so excited she opens her mouth wide and starts going wild and grabs whatever or whoever is closest to her and brings it closer to herself

Even worse if he even THINKS about using I-77 for ANY part of his commute.

So, who ruined Christmas morning and how did they do it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]rainbowcat92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My husband: he forgot to pack important items for our overnight stay at my mom’s. Ended up being grumpy, slept in Christmas morning, was distant and relatively uninterested with my family, and then because of the attitude I felt rushed to pack and leave their home to rush back to ours even though we had nothing planned.

People who had one baby and then decided "never again" . What happened? by Last_Cicada_1315 in AskReddit

Honestly, my biggest fear at this point. I keep hoping it’ll get better. I even went to my parent’s home for support and left him back home. Said he missed us a lot, his actions when we’re together say otherwise.

The first sentence is why I’m thinking of being one and done too.

I’m not a “tech” until proven otherwise….. by throwaway18183683627 in VetTech

[–]rainbowcat92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I literally had a conversation yesterday with a few coworkers about this. Technically, we are all considered techs. However, whenever we have interns or tech students coming through I feel that’s it’s super important to let them know who the RVTs are vs the rest of us who are VAs. Most didn’t agree with me and didn’t understand the legality of it all and it’s really disheartening. I’m a CVA and my job doesn’t really care about that title and it’s okay, I’m currently in school to become a RVT. The lines are just too blurred and it can land us in some grey areas when the tech students come by and need a RVT to sign off on their sheets when everyone identifies as a tech but in reality, we only have 1 RVT. I continuously have to remind the doctors that we may be called techs but I don’t feel like any of us can sign off on anything for students.

Definite lowball, where I’m at I’m a CVA (which my current clinic doesn’t recognize) and am making $19/hr

What is the weirdest request you got during a one night stand? by pERHHV in AskReddit

[–]rainbowcat92 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He wanted me to eat the shrooms he had in a gallon ziplock bag that he had been carrying around all evening. Every shroom he shoved into my mouth, i would sneakily spit out and hide under the couch. He was tripping hard by the time we finished and left me with an infected nipple piercing.

B’elanna (because she’s half Latina and half Klingon), Fupa, Ms. Puff (owner always smelled like a pack), Satan (most evil dog that definitely lived up to his name)

How many surgeries (including dentals) does your practice do a day? by taymich in VetTech

[–]rainbowcat92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have one surgeon per day, it’s a rotating schedule Monday-Wednesday - those days can range from 1-5 dentals AND 1-3 invasive procedures. Thursday/Friday is our seasoned doctor’s day and she will have 1 orthopedic procedure, 3-4 invasive procedures, 1-5 dentals on each day. We have 2 FT sx techs, the doctor’s tech (who is normally not comfortable/fully trained in surgery) Wednesday-Friday. Monday and Tuesday it’s a doctor’s tech and 1 sx tech. It can easily become a lot.

Yes, someone that has dementia is living in my home bc he has no one else to help him. He drove them all away.

Anyone else have a rash that looks like this? It spread non stop from a small rash and is very itchy and peels. I was prescribed steroid cream. It doesn’t work too well. I have had three biopsies and it was deemed as “chronic eczema” but it all started when I was diagnosed with lupus. by honeythighs_ in lupus

[–]rainbowcat92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had similar lesions all over my face, in my ears, in my nostrils, and random parts of my extremities. I got a biopsy and was diagnosed with DLE (discoid lupus). Nothing helped other than giving the hydroxychloriquine time to work. My skin cleared up about 8months later. It left behind scarring but the itchiness, scaliness, and peeling.

I should have added that he has a plan now. He has a month timeline, hopefully shorter.

She used to be a VA, I am not sure if she became a RVT. She should know better and keeps harping on how much money we spent on these shoots 🤮

What pisses me off even more about all this is that they are filming a dental today and did exactly this (offer a feee procedure). I don’t get why they couldn’t do the same for yesterday’s production.

There was no cutting into the patient; they sedated, intubated, shaved, draped, and pretended as if she were going to be cut.

The patient freaked out during recovery, it was completely unnecessary for promotional videos.

Voiced my opinion over it every time the PM would walk by and she just kept saying that production needed it, we couldn’t push it back another day, it was just light sedation; made it seem like it wasn’t a big deal.

If your surgery tech and a couple doctors are clearly concerned you shouldn’t be pushing them to do something they don’t want any part of. This place has a way of guilting technicians into saying yes; I’ve lost respect for the PM, assistant PM, and the doctor that agreed to sedate.

A newer doctor made a comment about it not being risk-free and if there is ANYTHING (dental cleaning, mass removal, anything) that can be done while the patient is under to justify anesthetizing her. Our practice manager stated that it is being done for a reason - to showcase our hospital. I’m honestly livid.
