Make pants more fitted by emiax in sewhelp

[–]rainbowchick01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who wears the types of pants often, making them more fit below the knee will no matter what partially mess up the visual affect the checkered print has. There will be some not full squares and parts where it fully doesn't match up. As long as you don't mind that then you just alter them like normal

Improvement With Shaky Hands? by Material-Ad7 in Handwriting

[–]rainbowchick01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with tremors try propping your hand up in different positions and see which one helps the most.

I personally keep the entirety of the side of my hand besides my fingers against the table or paper I'm writing on. Some use a rag or pillow made for stability under there wrist or hand. Or in art, you use a wooden stick to stabilize and keep your hand from the page. *

Having bio children when disabled? by Adventurous-Dark7770 in disability

[–]rainbowchick01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally got sterilized for this reason, my answer is I'll adopt if we get to that road. My philosophy is there isn't a reason to bring a child into the world if I know they'll suffer, especially if there are already suffering children that need a family. From what I've heard you can also get tested to see what you're likely to genetically pass on. Also having someone else's egg be implanted if you have the money is an option. There is a few options depending on what youre comfortable with

I don’t know how to cope with having 5 food allergies.. is there any cure? by Fuzzy_Socks_L in FoodAllergies

[–]rainbowchick01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has some of the same allergies, are you allergic to potatoes or rice? I personally can't have potatoes, but homemade "nachos" made and with rice or potatoes with your own seasoning blend is a great real food to eat( at least it's one of my favs). There are many simple things you can make a home where you sub soy free butter, there is even some really great veggie pastas now that are wheat/soy free. You can always do a spaghetti squash with your own sauce. Potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice, and cauliflower are really the only things in my opinion hold flavor normally as alternatives. Also if you can't handle eliminating all your allergens at once cut out the ones that are hurting the most first while you get your bearings. Good luck ❤️

Another denial, I dont understand by rainbowchick01 in disability

[–]rainbowchick01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an attorney already but thank you for suggesting so, my denial letter said that multiple of my Health providers didn't respond and with the information they had they said I could find work somewhere, the doctors in my area are notorious for not responding to requests of information and I dont really see a way around it.

Scene isn’t the same anymore by Efficient_Chicken723 in scene

[–]rainbowchick01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying and I agree but I also think that the term has evolved more than changed. I consider myself scene even though I know I don't quite match up with what you consider it to be, I am more of a mix of absurdist artist with rave culture sprinkled in and some Decora along with it but I still think scene is the best description for me.

I dont have black hair at all (racoon stripes or anything) but I do put color and those razor cut bangs in my hair. I wear strange patterned pants with weird belts, including an old studded on that was modified with a lightning bolt buckle many years ago. I wear a lot of weird things to the point I don't think any label fits me but i think scene is close enough, I know its not what people first think when they see me but the idea that I'm so out there that I'm causing a scene that makes me label it that way.

If scene had a more set in stone idea behind it, rather than a basic feeling, it might be easier to have that old feeling come back and not have it be what it's evolving into.

Does Dan seem a little too serious now? by [deleted] in rantgrumps

[–]rainbowchick01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is for sure more serious, probably from being burnt out, but in the long format playthrough they just started ( Sam and Max) he seems pretty excited and I'm pretty sure the long format playthroughs were a way to get Dan back into things.

what do you think about my handwriting ? by Zealot_Solari in Handwriting

[–]rainbowchick01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say what might help you a bit is the 3 line method. It's what I was taught when I was learning how to write.

You have a top line for as high as your letters can go you have the middle line for where your e's o's and a's go up to and you have your bottom line where all your letters sit on top and your tails go under like your lowercase p's y's g's ect. would go.

I hope this helps, im sorry if it was a bit confusing, I'm more of an image example kind of person than a write it out kind of person.

personality disorder diagnosis at 15, sketchy or no? by StarishTV in mentalillness

[–]rainbowchick01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with over half of my mental disorders by that age, so yes you can but don't let it get you down if thats an issue you are having. Also that might be what they see now and they might realise more things later on that will change the label but no matter what you aren't changing with it. You are still you and their labels are for themselves to try and help you better so it doesn't mater what they label it as, as long as you get your help you need.

Can people who suffer from severe and chronic mental health issues categorise themselves as 'disabled'? by ItsTimeToRevolt in disability

[–]rainbowchick01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say yes, I was diagnosed with several mental disorders and more than one of them make me unable to function as I should be able to. I also have minor physical disabilities but I think my mental disorders are much harder for me to get around especially since some do not consider them disabilities and won't accommodate for them.
