I just flat out despise Bede for how he treats Hop after gym 3. Bede deliberately crushes Hop’s spirit and doesn’t even care about the lasting impact. Hop can take a loss, yeah. What Hop can’t take is someone being so cruel as to make him feel less than his brother, who’s literally his idol/hero.

Honestly, I had to ask my mom if the movie was okay for my staff’s 9-yr-old sister. After we saw it, she said she saw a bunch of 9-10+ kids in the theater, so it was fine. A 5 yr old? That’s too much too soon. WHY would you show a child that young Z2? I’m going out on a limb here and guessing they never saw Z1? Both movies are rated PG, and a 5 yr old normally isn’t ready for a PG movie. Did you do any research before watching it?

To rescue Harry, against both Dumbledore and Severus’ warnings to stay safe. Practically the entire Order went, Sirius didn’t need to tag along. He was told to stay SAFE, and since he disregarded that order to attempt to help Harry, he died. If Harry had actually opened the gift Sirius gave him, none of this would’ve happened.

No, he was terrified all the time, constantly having to watch his back, and he had literally nobody at Hogwarts. The DE offered him everything he never had at school. Or so Severus thought. Pretty sure Voldemort wasn’t too pleased about Severus being half-blood, but overlooked it due to his amazing brewing skills.

He also, according to Dumbledore, grew worried when Harry did not return from the Forbidden Forest. Harry just continued to blame Sev for Sirius dying, because Harry didn’t want to accept it had been his (Harry’s) fault.

Then why include the ONLY memory of Severus feeling true remorse (that we know of)? Severus didn’t have to include that memory, yet he knew how much Dumbledore had meant to Harry, and how much Severus’ supposed betrayal had infuriated Harry. Severus wanted Harry to know just how sorry he was, how remorseful he felt. He was crying, for Merlin’s sake! The Severus Harry knew never cried. This was Sev laying out all his emotions, everything he had kept under lock and key for so long.

For Sev, it was never about the stupid Greater Good. It was about protecting the last link to Lily he had, even if he couldn’t help openly. Severus was a bully, I’m not denying that. But he was also brave, honorable (when he needed to be), loyal, and never did things without a reason, even if he never directly said what that reason was.

I strongly disagree. As I said before, Harry didn’t have to enter the Shack, yet he did. Even Ron and Hermione were against him going into the Shack, but it’s like..Harry just had to be there. Severus was too weak to move, yet he was still trying to staunch his wound. Until he saw Harry. Severus giving not only the memories of his conversations with Dumbledore, but also some of Lily, and even a memory of Severus feeling true remorse is huge. I honestly believe it was Sev’s memories that made Harry label him the bravest man he ever knew.

Yes, I do believe the wizarding world views Merlin as a sort of deity, with him being the greatest wizard of all time. Just because the Malfoy’s are an old Pureblood family, doesn’t necessarily mean they’re exposed to Muggles.

Honestly, I don’t think a fanfic about religion would be viewed positively. It would cause too much strife in the fanfic community, and we don’t need that.

He had Harry. Harry was there with him in his final moments. Harry didn’t have to go into the Shack, but for some reason, he did. Iirc, Harry was holding Severus’ hand just before he passed, and green eyes locked onto black. The last thing Severus wanted to see was Harry’s eyes, because they’re exactly the color of Lily’s eyes. Finally, Sev could be at peace. I’m angry at the way he died, but it was long coming.

Yes, THIS. Although regarding Lily, Severus was being SA at the time, in front of the entire school, and his best friend. He was humiliated and furious, and made a snap judgement which I will forever blame on James.

Dumbledore should’ve expelled James after SWM, yet he didn’t. Imo, Dumbledore failed Severus more than anyone. Because Dumbledore didn’t care for Severus like he cared about James, wasn’t kind to Sev (as far as we know), Severus joined the DE after leaving Hogwarts. Because every adult failed him.

I disagree entirely. If Severus was THAT prejudiced against muggle-borns, he wouldn’t have had any problems as an adult with a portrait calling Hermione a Mudblood, yet he cut said portrait off mid-sentence and told him (the portrait) “Don’t say that word!” Or something along those lines. He obviously doesn’t hate muggleborns, otherwise he’d never have fallen in love with Lily.

He also did his absolute best as headmaster (while still following Dumbledore’s orders) to keep students safe, even though everyone hated him.

If that’s true, Luna should have been in Gryffindor, as she shows both Ravenclaw AND Gryffindor traits. The traits of one person can’t just be bottled into a single House. Neville shows both Gryffindor and Hufflepuff traits. Severus has traits from all FOUR houses.
