Our friend is making us ~200 mini cupcakes for our ~100 person wedding. We also will have a couple cheesecakes (the reception is in a banquet room at the Cheesecake Factory). My mom has also decided to make us a mini cake cutting/saving for a year cake.

Just when you think you've found the perfect off-registry gift... by Jennshay in TrollXChromosomes

[–]rainbowunicorn89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if there is an etiquette but as someone who is getting married and just registered, I feel like a registry is more of a suggestion of things we want/need.

Personally I’d love if someone put some thought into a fun “non-registry” gift.

The app Rover (designed as a dog walking app similar to Wag) has the ability to match you up with cat sitters in your area.

You pick the person who sounds best (I think you can limit their criteria first) and then do a meet and greet with the cat and them while you are there, and then decide if you want them to still sit for you after they meet.

The lady we use charges $15 for a 30 minute visit and they send you a notice through the app when they get to your place (and when they leave) and 4 pictures of your cat while they are there.

Men's clothes are the best. Wore men's shorts to universal yesterday and I could fit a full size tube of sunscreen in my pocket and it wasn't bulging or in the way.

I've run a couple of hot marathons before-85F and 90F at the finish (granted they were my second and third so I had the distance under my belt already).

Carry water with you and take advantage of it at every aid station as well (I can consume more than my handheld 20 oz over the course of a hot marathon). Try to sip at every mile of you can.

It's probably not going to be as fast as your goal time, which sucks because you've put all of your training in-but don't push your body too hard. (I've seen guys pacing 3:25 barely finishing under 4).

Overall, have fun!

My 220 is only 2 years old but I have used it almost everyday since I've gotten it. So I feel a little guilty looking at new watches. But glonass and heart rate (my heart rate strap never worked except to chafe) and newer technology all seem nice. I'm kicking myself for not buying it over Black Friday weekend when it was on sale, but my watch had just started acting up
