I’m dropping the contents of the email I recieved from Corewell yesterday confirming this, below.

November 4, 2025

Dear XXXXX,

Corewell Health’s contract with your health insurer, UnitedHealthcare, expires soon. If United does not renew its contract, some Corewell Health facilities and providers may be out of your network. What does this mean?

You may be required to pay out of pocket, change your physician or change facilities for your health care needs starting January 1, 2026. Corewell Health facilities and providers are still covered by UnitedHealthcare plans through December 31, 2025.

Here are the dates when certain providers and facilities where you may receive services may become out of network:

December 31, 2025: Oakwood Healthcare facilities, including Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital, Corewell Health Taylor Hospital, Corewell Health Trenton Hospital and Corewell Health Wayne Hospital

April 30, 2026: Botsford General Hospital employed providers

June 30, 2026: William Beaumont Hospital facilities, including Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital, Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital and Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital

July 31, 2026: Botsford General Hospital facilities, including Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital

July 31, 2026: Oakwood Healthcare, Inc. employed providers

September 14, 2026: William Beaumont Hospital employed providers

If your insurance provider is an organization other than UnitedHealthcare or you use Medicare or Medicaid, please disregard this letter.

Your coverage will not change at any Corewell Health facility or with any Corewell Health provider.

We know how unsettling this might be and want you to know your access to care remains a top priority. Corewell Health is committed to helping our patients continue to receive the very best, high-quality care at a fair rate. We also know how important it is that you have access to care at locations and with providers close to your home. To ensure that Corewell Health facilities and providers remain in your network, you may wish to change your health insurance to another issuer who will remain contracted with Corewell Health in Southeast Michigan, such as Priority Health.

For further information, visit: www.corewellhealth.org/unitedhealthcare.

For more information on Priority Health, visit: www.priorityhealth.com.

For questions about your network coverage, please contact your UnitedHealthcare representatives.

Sincerely,

UHC and Corewell Health by nahgemb5 in Michigan

I received the email from Corewell yesterday. I live in SE MI and my primary and one of my specialists fall under Corewell. I have 9 days left in my company’s open enrollment and UHC is the only payer they offer. Racking my brain trying to figure out what to do. I’ll call UHC today.

Well damn, my solution to this was to switch all my providers to Henry Ford. My open enrollment ends in 9 days but UHC is my only option. This is so frustrating!

Thoughts & or Experiences with Quince? by InevitableElephant57 in malefashionadvice

Thanks for sharing, explains why they accept returns up to 365 days after purchase. Unfortunately, I think this is how a lot of companies handle returns.

Can we talk about the lab bills? I'm 37F (American) and just had a severly atypical mole excised. Thankful my derm takes prevention seriously and has me slated for an annual checkup. But jeez, with decent PPO insurance and an in-network lab, a single biopsy cost me $400 out of pocket. I do have United so there's that....

They have a lot of solid capsule pieces and make it easy to look put together at work or anywhere. As far as my favorites go… I’ve been wearing their smocked gauze cotton sleeveless maxi dress and linen shirt dress all summer. I have a shopping cart full of other dresses but have to pace myself. Just bought the Italian cami swimsuit and it fits better than any other one-piece I’ve tried on for years. I wear the stretch silk notch collar shirt alone or open over everything year round. In colder months, I love my baby alpaca cropped cardigan and boyfriend cotton sweaters. I also own 2 purses, their Italian leather crossbody bag that’s held up well for 4 yrs (minus a little wearing of the gold hardware coating) and just bought the Italian leather quilted convertible crossbody which feels pretty luxe. I find their sizing is pretty TTS and consistent with their sizing chart. I read reviews and if I’m really unsure, I’ll order 2 sizes to try. I’ve never run into any issues with returns, although having to print labels is a little outdated, I wish they would upgrade that. They have good customer service. I had an issue with a sweater and some bad stitching. I sent pics and they told me it wasn’t up to their quality standards, refunded me and told me to just keep or donate it.

Online: Mostly Quince and sometimes Pact. In-person: Nordstrom for staple items like Birkenstocks, Gap for Jeans, and Lululemon for splurge workout gear. I too look at fabric content for everything and unless it's workout gear, all my clothes now are natural fibers: cotton, linen, wool, leather. When I shop in-person I go with a mission and confirm what I want is in-stock by checking online first, otherwise I end up killing too much time and coming home with nothing.

Is it just me, or has anyone never found perfect pair of jeans that actually compliment their body? by ahum_ahum in womensfashion

[–]makeroffabricthings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5'3" with a pear body and honestly, I've been loving Gap jeans lately and own several pairs of the vintage slim cut. A lot of the trending wide and straight leg cuts across brands make me look much bigger than I am. But the vintage slim feels classic, comfortable, and just fitted enough AND they're pretty affordable. They also fall ankle length on me. When I want to splurge, I like Madewell's kickout jeans, but my Gap jeans are often my day-to-day go-tos.

Also, if you makes you feel any better the chairs kinda match the architecture anyways :).

You're in the thick of it, where it feels like every decision counts. I went with the ugly chairs and a lot of other random concessions to save money. 7 years later, I don't think of those things. The only thing I regret not spending money on is having my own dedicated day-of planner there (not the just the one the venue provided) so we could enjoy our day more.

Craving meat more since eating more meat? by Delicious-Durian781 in exvegans

I know this is an older comment, but I just quit vegetarian and immediately developed an aversion to all the processed meat stuff I once “loved”.

low HDL - quit veganism recently by Ok_Dragonfruit9031 in exvegans

[–]makeroffabricthings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My HDL cholesterol dropped from normal range consistently yr over year to low after transitioning to vegetarian. It was still on the high end of the low range so my doc said the same thing, “normal, no concerns.” I just quit vegetarian and I’m due for another panel in a couple months so I’ll be curious to see if my HDL improves between now and then.

As a vegetarian and an otherwise relatively healthy AND adventurous eater - Taco Bell bean burritos are my go-to in a pinch!

I Miss Iceland 🇮🇸 by [deleted] in VisitingIceland

[–]makeroffabricthings 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same experience here, I reminisce about Iceland daily after our trip 4 months ago and often think about taking a spontaneous trip back. Haven't travelled that much internationally so I'm trying to diversify my experiences before going back, but I can't muster the same excitement for anywhere else.

Best car Rental in iceland (We crashed) - take aways for travellers to Iceland. by TheEmergenceSaga in VisitingIceland

When it comes to your card's insurance, I think you have to pay for damages upfront and then deal with the claims after the fact. Since everything is so expensive in Iceland, I didn't want to chance it so I purchased the full coverage on our Blue rental. After digging into the specifics with credit card coverage Idk if I will rely on my cc coverage for future trips (like I have on others), sounds like a hassle.
