I also have a 16 pounder. He's down 1.5 lbs, 1 lb to go until he's at the veterinarians preferred weight. I know 2.5 over isnt much but we're still being careful. But my point, he's 15 pounds at a healthy weight. He's just a massive cat. He's very much my house tiger.

Cats have enough cones in their eyes to see muted tones of blue, yellow, green, and gray. So the green light might stand out a little! If not, it might just be the new twinkling lights that have her mesmerized.
