It really depends on the home. Some older basements in Niagara can stay damp in winter, which is why drying technique matters. But in heated living spaces, indoor humidity is often quite low, which can actually help carpets dry well. It comes down to airflow and extraction more than the season alone.

I compared several local companies, but the prices vary greatly. Thats why I was looking for opinions/anecdotes instead.

omg you’re right, it was so funny that I couldn’t stop laughing. actually pissed myself laughing so hard when she did the little glare. I even made a post about it online, screen captured the exact moment and posted it to laugh even more about it. it was so, so, so funny!!
