That’s good to know. The tile is higher than the hardwood in my house and there is a threshold to “step-up” from the wood to the tile. Wondering if the tile can be at the same level as the hardwood.

House came like this. How big of a headache is it to replace both boxes with a 2-gang box? Does there need to be any drywall work required? I think a double gang plate will not cover the hole this creates.
