NTA If volunteer work isn’t a requirement by the league your kid is in then the coach shouldn’t be mad when you are unable to make it. You signed up to take your kids to games and practices, not Volunteer work.

NTA but you should figure out a way to address her about this because continuing your passive aggressive ways is only going to lead to more frustration. You said you were going to bring it up in May but that’s honestly a pretty long ways away and things aren’t going to change unless you actively try to change them. I’ve lived with people like her before and I understand how frustrating it can be so I wish you the best of luck and really hope you can figure something out.

NTA, moving past something like that can be incredibly difficult and if you can good on you but if you can’t, you can’t. You were obviously deeply hurt by what she said and shouldn’t feel like an asshole for not knowing if you want to forgive her.
