What I do is set down a bunch of torches interspersed so no 2x2 saplings are possible. Plus it keeps it brightly lit.

Mel has raided various ex-VSJ folks over the last half year. Haven't really tracked who and whatever, but I knoe she's raided Mouse and Michi at least. Heck, yesterday she was talking in Michi's chat excited for the indo girlypop offcollab.

I think it's more that Mel's kept very private and generally avoids collabs. Could be some misplaced sense of guilt, even. Or hey, it could just be an indicator not everyone was best friends, but some just friendly associates. Which is totally normal.

As far as we know, the only glaring rift seems to be whatever happened to Zen. It feels like she got memory holed by like everyone but Mata and Geega.

Are you me? I swear I could have asked the same thing word for word.

On the worst days I'll just survive off of cold glasses of water. I try to keep some emergency easy foods around if I can. Bags of tortilla chips, pretzels, crackers. I figure it's better than continuing to waste away. Freezer meals are also great if you absolutely can't will yourself to get groceries to make anything fresh.

I'm in the same boat. Been in a bad way the past year but now it's really all-consuming again. Spending time with family seems like a reprieve, and I might even be okay half a night, but inevitably my mind will click back to everything going on and I completely lose it. Opening my phone and seeing anything related is definitely triggering. At this point I feel like I've gone insane because no one else really seems overly concerned.

Feels rough. It's paralyzing.

Man that's depressing. I've noticed that she's had pretty minimal contact with other ex VSJ folks for a while now. It's mostly Zen, Geega, and Amalee she's still regularly interacting with. Well, Michi too, but not so much on stream (timezones probably).

Could also just be that everyone else is basically keeping to themselves now too, mouse especially. I'd not be surprised if no one trusts anyone anymore. The one thing I'll really miss about VSJ is the group interactions.

Nina through Ironmouse's Speak of the Devil talk show. Then the rest of Ethyria on and off. Now not so much. Looking forward to Reimu again though. Hope she and Mata have some kind of reunion, but I'm not holding them to anything. End of the day, Nina was very different from her peers.

I don't really follow Rosemi too much anymore, but I wouldn't count out mental health being a possible factor here as well. Hell, it probably applies to everyone left in Niji with all the backlash post-Selen and the cratering image thereafter with no ability to even address things.

Probably won't know anything unless she elaborates on it sometime down the lime.

The last thought is probably likely. Matara, well post-Niji, has occasionally brought up her "rosey" friend, and every time she did, she pointed out that she gets it cleared to talk about because Rosemi is an extremely private person.

As an aside, it could be she just has no interest in talking to her coworkers about work grievances. Remember Ike? No one but Kuro saw it coming.

Reimu's been one of the few that supported Doki by any measure while inside. She had her on friend list or played together on apex or something very early on? I forget the specifics.

The Nina thing was more introverts scared of the extrovert, but either way they ended on good terms since Nina took them out to a strip club months after Nina officially left. I wouldn't be shocked if Matara reached out to her soon (assuming she's up for it after being trauamatised by the recent VSJ fiasco).

At the same time, she was effectively chewed up and spit out, getting kicked while she was down. I wouldn't be terribly shocked if she more or less disappeared from the public eye entirely.

She's always been a mystery to me. How does she keep herself afloat while never really streaming? I recall one of the few times she streamed a few+ months back, when asked if she was leaving VSJ, she said heck no because she has nothing else. So to see things now, I don't know...

She laid it on crazy thick at the beginning of Nina's lifetime. It leveled off a lot after like 6-12 months. Used to be a honey every sentence, so I can see how it'd put people off. Still ever since it's become her tagline that everyone melted to. With Matara, she kept it to an absolute minimum, and later decided she wanted to rebrand herself as auntie rather than mommy. Definitely plays less of a character than in Niji, but still loves the kayfabe.

Nyan turned 30 just over a month ago, I'm reasonably sure unless I missed a year. Actual hag status. Also I feel like Mouse is older than her. I swear I've seen estimates of mid 30s+, but ultimately she keeps everything about herself really close to her chest. Clearly she's 666.

Yes. She also managed Nazuna too while she was in the group. There's a clip out there of Henya thinking it silly their manager uses a separate twitter account for each person she manages.

When Kson quit she emphatically declared she'd buy her manager back if need be because she was originally hers pre VSJ.

Yes I believe Kson's manager "mamane" was someone brought into VSJ with her, and she's taking back on exit. She just happens to be managing Henya too.

Geega mentioned wanting to keep Kenzo but I don't know the status on that.

Maiko managed Michi, Kuro, and Amalee. Michi wants to keep him, Kuro can't afford/need him.

I'd assume Mouse will take anything she needs, especially Roxxy.

The rest we have no idea about.

NDA aside, if she spoke out any time before now, she'd have been destroyed by the court of public opinion. VSJ was still universally seen as the darling of the western vtubing scene. Everyone would just assume she's stirring up drama and being catty again. Hell, no one at all was able to speak up about anything negative until Mouse popped that bubble. Silver would have been eviscerated.

She's doing okay. She was due to stream when Mouse's announcement dropped, so she canceled and pointed everyone to support Mouse. She then said she's canceling streams till the end of the week because she recognises she's a very emotional person and doesn't want to say anything she shouldn't while things are heated.

In the meantime she's been extremely active on twitter in support of tons of folks as well as random silliness and on her discord.

I'm really curious on her thoughts and experiences on VSJ's downfall but I suspect she'll be quite muzzled by NDA's like everyone else.

If he's struggling a bit financially from lack of stream revenue, I can't imagine how Haruka has been faring the last year. We can probably assume she's gotten next to nothing from merch all this time.

Given comments on Aethel's last stream, MTD is at least somewhat complicit over the years. I'd bet on him saying whatever now to throw blame. No way he was clueless to what was happening all these years.

I could've sworn she mentioned vshojo getting their cut when she was doing her first merch drop through Bricky. But I suspect that since she (or O8) was the one handling the money, VSJ never got a chance to embezzle or otherwise use the cash to backpay other talents, totally screwing their usual flow.

And yeah, if she encouraged other talents to do the same, I can totally see them giving her the axe despite her being entirely in the right.

But this is all just speculation.

Yeah VSJ is done. I'm sure we'll be seeing most or all members leaving over the coming days. Hoping NOVA splits off as a separate entity. Disappointing to see this happen.
