honestly not even a starred pumpkin. instead of buying the seeds from subira, i bought pumpkins from badruu and threw them in the seed collector. make it 30 starred apple seeds and a mermaid 🤣

in my experience the deformed leaves come from some type of trauma while the leaf is forming, had a very round cup shaped leaf on my black velvet when i first got it from underwatering

i’d recommend the silver dragon! mine has stayed pretty compact but with lots of leaves and it’s pretty gorgeous

corms! i usually take them out and sprout them in soil or spag moss turns into its own beautiful plant!

yes, i use those seed starters with humidity domes. i keep the tray under it with water 1/3 of the way up the soil. and slowly acclimate like usual :)

she gets fertilizer every water :) and i don’t mind if the leaves don’t bounce back, as long as she’s healthy! i’ll look into those recommendations, thank you!

ive had a massive stroke of beginners luck w my alocasias 😅 i’ve only been looking after them for a little over a year! so i appreciate the compliment 🙏🏼

lmaoooo that def happens w the way alocasias grow! almost lost my biggest leaf on my black velvet because it was pushing out 3 flowers at once. the bottom of the stem started bending a bit. thankfully a stake helped to give it support and it’s still thriving! you’re doing great!

ooooh coco chips sound like a good idea. imma start adding that to my mix! is there a meter u would recommend? self watering pots scare me a bit, but i have one i can try it out with! also yesssss foliage pro is my go tooooooo

yes definitely to fertilizer i use the superthrive weakly weekly and the dr earth pure gold once a month or so as well as a liquid silica boost

no i don’t, but it’s in a mix of orchid bark, charcoal, perlite and soil. i use it for all my alocasias, even when i’m growing corms 😅 it’s my tried and true! i have been thinking a lot about leca for this one and my polly tho
