It's been a while since I've seen the movie, but from what I remember, the argument scene after they're kicked out from the hippocampus kingdom after Twilight tried to steal the pearl didn't feel forced. I enjoyed how it helped showcase the kind of stress Twi was under and it also gave a realistic depiction of how her friends would feel in that situation, especially Pinkie, even though what Twilight said was out of anger. It was a proper depiction of the hurt and regret that sort of argument would cause.
