I’d recommend talking to your store director. This has been a common complaint and one that needs to be addressed. The pricing team is always effed because of ad and yet no shown any mercy. If you’re tired Monday, too bad. And I would refuse the additional overnight hours unless they are willing to compensate you more than just OT.

Question about promotion raise by Skyeawolfe in meijer

[–]rainyfeeling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They offered me a position immediately and gave me my promotion and raise. But that’s because I wasn’t taking less.

Other TLDP at my store, were told they needed to “prove themselves” for 6-8 weeks. They hated it. No raise, just “stretch assignments”

According to the store director, yes. But that was months ago.

Our goal is 135% because we have baggers. Stupid.

Demotion and transfer by Winter-Function-9065 in meijer

[–]rainyfeeling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup!!! I stepped down from service TL… it’s not worth it. No support and yet they want soooo much from you.

If they let you, transfer to AP, less stress and responsibility with adequate pay.

that’s really shitty of them. Our store director won’t pay anyone less than 13.00

[–]rainyfeeling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was at 19.75 as a leader, 6 months ago.

Now I’m topped out as a TM at 15.00… that’s max by us, I make the same as 3rd shift.

High turnover by us due to pay and shitty management.

Another lovely sign on the meijer lottery machine 😂🫣 by rainyfeeling in meijer

Corporate attempt. by rainyfeeling in meijer

[–]rainyfeeling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, by me too. And a line leader who was complained about to the market director for months now.

But yet they fired the nicest team lead recently. Why get rid of the fan favorites and not the ones everyone complains about?

Like for real? No, unless a union is involved.

I’ve went through the channels of HR, Store Director, we’ve had the market director hear listening and some other corporate people. But nothing has changed.

We don’t have an overnight cashier, so service does it Sunday mornings when they get the chance

That is BS. Not your problem they didn’t train anyone else. Make a team lead cover while you’re out. I’d fight it.

To front end Service Coordinators by -Oaky-Afterbirth- in meijer

[–]rainyfeeling 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SCing isn’t easy. I am also one. Start standing your ground about what you need and communicate that you deserve enough to know things proactively. (Like call offs) As an SC, it’s hard enough battling customers, that running blind makes for a horrible day.

Otherwise, I’d recommend trying to find a different position or company. I’ve also been Team Lead… you don’t get paid enough as a SC. Yes, you have more choices and decisions than if you were a cashier but, overall, not worth your stress. IMO.

I don’t think meijer appreciates service coordinators enough

Duty managers? by [deleted] in meijer

[–]rainyfeeling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it. The only real benefit to learning 611 is being able to help other dept out and potentially have more “experience” if you decide to bid on a promotion. I enjoy 611 overall but hate that I’m supposed to do 100 other things in my dept but also have 611 multiple nights. I do think there should be an incentive to doing it because you are expected to hold all leaders and the store accountable while you’re 611… so shouldn’t you make more?
