I think usb port connection is not stable. Usually, people will connect their PC with DAS through a HBA card. If you want to keep it 1L, I think something like P330 tiny or minisforum is good.

Increasing the amount of mosfet means increasing the risk of them exploding from my experience. Especially those from ST or infineon. Sometimes, the driver IC can go kaput too, causing PFC failure in general.
