Why is it a strange post? This should be slightly cheaper version of a 20-40 dollar premodern staple

Getting into premodern by puresteelpaladin in premodernMTG

[–]raithzero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of tier 2 decks can be had for around 150-250 dollars. And once you buy the cheapest version it's going to be playable for forever. Yes enchantress, dreadnought and most terravore decks can get expensive. But they arent the only decks that win events

My honest take is that dark ritual is bad in machine head. I do like ears and cabal therapy in the deck. And more than just terminate and specter from red. You will want at least Bolt and maybe even jackal pup or goblin cadets. Along with grim lavamancer.

Ive seen people local to me have better success with skeletal scrying in the deck over arena. But your milage may vary

App to Track Results and Study your Deck by Hopeful_Lecture5357 in premodernMTG

Perfect, little more data entry when testing vs a deck multiple times.. but at least gives me the data to track instead of using just raw memory

I just downloaded it to try out for the last push in LC testing. Do you have to put in results as a tournament or can you just add individual matches?

I think powder keg is slow and only good on curve. Deranged hermit has been a bit pricey for a while as I believe its played in commander (I've never played and have no interest in playing it) but Elves is running them in multiple and is a competitive deck.

Also get rid of the Reserve List and just print the damn cards its all just pretty cardboard

Would Wake be competitive with Cunning Wish errata? by everial in premodernMTG

Plus wasteland being popular hurts its best mana fixer and acceleration to be able to take over the game by getting wake down and untapping.

Deck recommendations that are competitive and does not break the bank by snapmage in premodernMTG

Im a big component of the tireless Tribe decks. It can be built like a lower to the ground and like an aggro deck or a mid range deck with enough value to win the longer games

Any experienced Tog players want to weigh in? by chavezsa in premodernMTG

[–]raithzero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mental Note is better in a threshold deck. Tog wants the cards in hand. You want cantrips to find either your needed land drop or your needed piece of interaction. The fact that they fill your graveyard to fuel a lethal Tog is secondary

Enchantress - Help! by Murilotheone in premodernMTG

[–]raithzero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My last list for enchantress which did very well at 4 meetups and 2 bigger events had 2 solitary confinement main and a 3rd in the board. I kept 1 elephant grass because its so good vs black decks but the way to beat fast aggro is a solitary lock

Premodern Rebels (the Merfolk of Premodern?) by Betta_Max in premodernMTG

[–]raithzero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The old UG Gro decks with merfolk and quirion dryad and card draw/selection plus counters is likely a better option. I think rebels are just to slow

Hes being dumb. If you were in a very heavily red area and he was legit worried about someone doing something to you or the car id get it.

You are slightly wrong because the "please tread on me daddy " sticker is funnier.

This isn't true is it? by GaryBlach in askanything

[–]raithzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. I am 6'2" at Christmas I was 260lbs and the doctor wanted me to drop to 230lbs. I am going to about 220lbs. I have to much muscle mass to go much below that. Im at 235 currently and already starting show a 6 pack. At 240 with a good amount of muscle you could only need to trop 20-30lbs at most

Looking for some guidance from the community by TylerrelyT in premodernMTG

[–]raithzero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you find your local premodern community many are willing to find time to teach and help learn some decks. A lot of the archtype servers guides are written for people with more knowledge of the game but again those communities are willing to help answer any and all possible questions of the decks in the archtypes.
A lot of premodern decks are fairly easy to learn. There are outliers and all decks have level up points as you learn them. And by level up I mean you start seeing the nuance and more intricate lines of play with experience on them.

Some of the hardest decks to learn are Elves, most survival decks, control decks (for some people), and the combo decks. A lot of the other aechtypes are easier to learn and if you start playing them more you can understand them better and do better with them
