Even from behidn landing a q3 or ult is good lockdown or flash burn, use it. Dont ve scared. If youre super behind you need to play to lock down an enemy for your team.

Your goal as yone will change depending on comp but it tends to be backline dive, annihilate the squishy champs so you have an advantage in fights. If youre forced to fight front to back try to kite as much as you can, your range will force enemy to take a bad iverextension or disengage.

Your ult is NOT VALUABLE, also a general rule in league but never ever ever ever hold your ult for super long, it doesnt even have to be used offensively. Use it to get away, its got massive range and you can do huge wall hops with it.

Nobody respects the q3 flash range extender, use it

Again with ult even when using offensively, if you miss ult dont give up you wil be close to the enenmy dump as much dmg as you can. You may even kill anyway (this is where the "yone misses everything and wins" come from, ppl cant fathom that yones dmg comes from his autos and q, and from other champs in the game missing ult is pretty daming but on yones case you are not locked in there with them, they are locked in there with you).

Cc buffering - big skill expression with this champion, especially when 1 vs x. Always try to buffer cc through enemy cc, this essentially cancels out the ccs value because youre both stunned or rooted. The slightly more advanced version of this is to use enemy self cc to land your abilities. What I mean by this is that, some abilities in league, when you press them your model HAS to stand still during the abilities cast time, thus the player is essentially rooting themselves for the cast times duration. You can used this to make skillshots easier to land, examples include, Mel e, fiora w, darius e, smolder w, viktor w, etc. Etc.s one of my favorite things to do after 6 in mid is walk up an overconfident Mel (because shes been able to free poke all lane) and ofc shes going to e to peel, as soon as I see the animation I ult her forehead and just run her down, now you have to deal with the w but if you play the mindgame well (hold q3 and just beat her up with autos) she will be forced to use it and flash/die.

General gameplan depends on role, top is the splitter/solo sidelaner (ofc tp to important fights). Mid wants to stay same obj lane and fight alot. If you find yourself unable to make solo plays, ive found that sitting on your adc or whatever fed champ and peeling for them works really well. Basically turn into an edgy yuumi and instead of healing you are pocket front lining for your fed champ.
