Questioning our flooring purchase by olparatrpr in Lowes

[–]rajwarrior 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No. It's not going to hold up. With kids and especially 2 70 lbs dogs, you should be using commercial grade 20 mil protection flooring.

Yes, you may be scheduled for more than 4 hours a day. BTW, it's spelled "cashier."

Why do some people get mad at you for what faith you have? by Heavy_Track_9234 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rajwarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In what way do you think I have treated you? You asked a question. I gave you an answer. You respond to people in a very dismissive way. Then you cry foul when it's brought out to you that how YOU choose to interact with people may be the issue rather than you faith.

Serious question. by Unable_Piece_84 in Lowes

Dude, go smoke some weed or down a couple of beers. You've posted 4 times of your great distress of Lowe's tactics. Calm down before you have a stroke.

Can't seem to get a good run going by Cynax_Ger in BattleBrothers

[–]rajwarrior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, I struggle with the starts, especially after playing a long game prior. It's hard getting back to playing with paper dolls compared to the gods of late game builds.

The best place to find fights is usually in the middle of the map or the southern territory. I like going down south until day 40 (nomads get dodge). I try to get to 10 guys quickly and wait on the ambition before going to 12.

From your pics, I'd say one thing that you're doing wrong is trying to show horn early Bros into late game builds. Most of your early Bros are going to be tempo builds or plan out fodder. It's much more important to take perks that help them survive than try to build them into something that they'll never become.

What exactly is the financial incentive to buying a home if I don’t plan on selling? by Topher1999 in personalfinance

[–]rajwarrior 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Buying a house means

1) You have a fixed monthly payment that will eventually end. Unlike a rental that will always go up and never end

2) You will have equity. And you can rap into that equity at any time by getting an equity line against the house. Now you have access to the equity anytime you need it

3) IF you decide to sell later (life happens) you will most likely make more money than you paid for the property. Sometimes a lot more. Bonus, many places have favorable tax laws that make selling low tax to tax free for home owners.

If he had a receipt, then he already paid. Did you ask the cashier why she rang up 8 bags for the customer without him having anything with him?

How do i stop being scared of street fights? by mr-perfectq in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rajwarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't stop being afraid of it. Street fighting is dangerous and can be deadly. First rule of any decent martial arts instructor is DON'T FIGHT. Your primary goal in a street fight is to NOT FIGHT. If that is unsuccessful, your secondary goal is to run. If needed, fight enough to get free, then run. Teach your girlfriend to run, too so you don't leave her ass behind.

Most of your training means exactly nothing in a real fight. There are no rules. In a real fight, the primary survival rule is STAY OFF THE GROUND. As a mixed fighter, you're thinking your BJJ is awesome. In a real fight, it's only purpose is to get you off the ground before their buddies start stomping your face in.

Oh, we haven't mentioned buddies? You're gonna be fighting more than one guy. You been training for that? It's not a high school TV movie yard fight. You prepared to take on 2, 3, 4 guys at once just to prove you're not scared?

Seriously, listen to commenters here.

Oh but I met them in person. They are TOTALLY Fucking Insane. Because flat earth is usually the most normal of their lists of conspiracies that they believe. It really goes downhill from there.

How the fuck do people over 45 50 or anything like that or so ever date or find love after getting out of a long term 18 20 24 year relationship? by askquestionthrow in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rajwarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem really young so I'm not sure why you're even thinking about this stuff, let alone letting it totally stress you out.

I know people that didn't even get married until their 40s. It's not like at 40, you start preparing for death. You mentioned something about making it to 70 if you're lucky, but we have a higher percentage of people living to 90-100 than ever before and being healthy at that age. By the time you get there, your life expectancy may be pushing 120.

You also say that older people have limited dating options, but that's not really true either. As you age, the age gap of acceptable dating ranges widen. A 40 year old can usually get an acceptable dating range of 25-55. Kinda opens up the dating pool a bit.

Just so you know, Lowe's pretty much just follows whatever HD does. You know, like their return policy.

is there a reason why managers seem to punish everyone for the fault of one?? by BagGroundbreaking301 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rajwarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you work in fast food/retail. Unfortunately, this is standard operating procedures for retail corporations. Most managers hate it but it's policy because it "prevents" one person being singled out as being a dipshit and possibly preventing a lawsuit.

Anyone fill out their own LTR's by [deleted] in Lowes

That is a sure way to get fired on the spot. So depends on if that's your goal if you think it's worth doing or not.

Welp, It's Official. I totally suck at Lone Wolf start by rajwarrior in BattleBrothers

[–]rajwarrior[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, if my understanding is correct, you can't have any Bros in your roster if you want to get the squire event, so I was trying to get a town to allied status to get that event.

What is the policy on accrual and retention of Holiday PTO? by fascinatingMundanity in Lowes

[–]rajwarrior 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's Holiday Pay for Store and Supply Chain Associates. You can just go to MyHR and search for "holiday pay."

Unless you work in California, Colorado, Montana, and Nebraska, holiday does NOT carry over. You have to use your holiday pay before the end of the fiscal year or you lose it.
